I wonder how long it will be before some one puts a 125cc shifter cart motor and tranny in a largescale landspeed attemp vehicle.

At the very first ISC event, there was someone that ran basically a cut up kart with a KT100. I looked at it and knew it was a kart, they just cut it up short and narrow enough to fit the class. If I find pics, I'll post them.

Found info but no pics on it. Hard to find since the ISC was actually called WFRCCC back then. The guys name is Tim Hepler and it was actually a 125cc based car. If you do a quick search on "Tim Hepler WFRCCC", his info and several links will come up.

That thing is mooooving. I really like the LOSI but dont like that price. If I can get a roller then I'd shoot for one. Already have enough motors.

If you're getting an FG on-road and you're on unlimited budget from your lady, why don't you try out the big BZM...?

(Sorry; this was aimed at Nitro, not Narwhal!)

I am looking at the BZM, Bartolone and OBR. Reading as much as I can on the web about these engines so I can get the most durable and powerful motor.

NH, if youre looking for speed, wait until you get the car. If I remember correctly, the pipes for the sportline were either really expensive or didnt work that well with BB motors. I ran a Mielke side pipe on mines and remember paying almost 500 for it and it was useless with anything larger than a 26cc.

NH, I was mistaken. The 4wd sportsline seems to have the same set up as the Baja or marder. You should be fine with the set up you want to run but you will have to use marder or baja pipes.

This is my project

BZM 50cc water cooled minimoto race engine to be installed in a custom chassis FG F1 car. It will have a 3 speed gearbox and a streamliner type shell

The engine weighs 10lbs and the chassis 16lbs. Add another 10 for everything else makes 36lbs or 16kg. Not bad for 18hp!

Cheers
