"Blowman" Aaah to only double check our typing.

Historically accurate? Yes, but the M36 doesn't have a turret so it's not complete. The one with the A3 hull is a B1.

Great footage Valfader
It seems like there are a lot of variants
I got mine delivered the other day, not being a tank guy, it seems to match up to my eye
If I post some pics, maybe you guys would point out its short comings
first off    what are these? I see something like them on the brackets of some of the M-36 S

Don't worry about the spelling I don't always spell good myself .
The M36B1 Jackson walk around is a model but accurate for the time it just shows what you can do with it .
I have the M36B1 Jackson kit to do with a Tamiya/Mato metal lower hull to do it on .

at the end the HVVS was also used on the M36's so no matter what you can't go wrong with this conversions , the Hvvs was not much produced on the M36 Jackson but it has

Not disputing you, but do you have pictures (or a link) supporting this claim.

I'd like to see it first.

Tap, I believe those are track grousers.  fitted onto tracks to add traction.

Nope, they are called grousers. "Duckbills" go on the end of the links (like on the M4A3E2 JUMBO) to decrease the ground pressure.

And, neither of the 2 pictures above are what we were discussing. The second one is the M4A3E8 Thunderbolt.

Bennyb  thanks, makes sense now

Karel47, I'm not clear on KVVS, is that the barrel with the muzzle brake?
this tank came with two barrels, but it's not a kit, it's RTR

looks like it's post war, has a lid- I'm not much on the paint scheme
this is scheduled for a paint ball gun and snow plow next winter

Actualy there were 3 types , i think the one i want to make is the M36 B2

The standard Jackson M36 had a muzzlebreak, the second had without muzzle on it but also a 90mm gun were fitted most of all on the M10 carriage ...

some M36 Jackson were placed the turrets on the M4a3 sherman chassis ... i've read somewere that a few were released with HVVS with wider tracks wich replaced the duckbills and consorts ... look at the tamiya sherman the late HVVS ... just as the sherman with the pershing turret on it  ... i think they are more tryouts and never seen full battle ... a few were send to europe ...
even american fyreflys were tryouts with the 17 pounder on to the late HVVS ... just study objects the war was ended before they could proof anything

not realy prove but thats the same with guy's who discused the panther II's only two made , no one knows exactly whats fact and not treu ... but a thankfull model expierence no matter some will think off

so back to the M36's

1. Standard M36 Jackson with muzzle on M10 carriage ... a few were placed onto the Sherman M4A3 chassis with VVVS and at the end HVVS

2. The M36 B1 without muzzle ... same story on the M10 and Sherman ... unawere of late HVVS don't know ...

3. The M36 B2 not much facts known by me but it excists, on several sites they were pronounced and discussed ... does anyone have pics of the M36 B2 ???????
