The guys at my club have recently started flying these; http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__18477__Rarebear_EPO_620mm_PNP_incl_High_Spec_3s_4s_ESC.html

While I am impressed with the speed and low price I am looking for any suggestions finding a similar plane. Thanks all.

Jerry

Great Planes rifle looks like the cheapest way to go fast in electric to me. Should be a lot more solid construction compared to an epo and so handle high speed and high G's a lot better, not sure if you can turn it like a Q500 without folding the wings though.

The rifle is a heavy plane. i looked at it and it was portly. i have had three planes that size for electric and they were less weight than the rifle empty when they were ready to fly.....

The Radical RC E-Hornet is about 80 to 100 mph on a slightly larger power system, is I think, a 35 inch wing, no landing gear. E-Hornet at the bottom of page.

Other people are putting something like an 8 to 12S lipo on Great Planes Revolver. One of my future projects.
