I was wondering for thrust and not speed what's the largest you can safely use on the ST .90?

Status: offline 		The Tower web site says a 12x8 or 13x7. Most 90s will swing a 14x6.

Status: offline 		Yea Tower I think is a bit off. I'm running a 14x4W Zinger and it seams to be on the small side. I have read where some guys are using up to 16's, but wasn't sure if it would damage the motor.

I flew a Magnum 91 2stroke on a Seagull Edge 540 for a couple years using 15X6 prop. I think that is about the maximum my engine is happy with. I usually try different props to see what works best with the particular plane, and I was surprised to see very little difference between APC, Powermaster and Zinger, leading me to conclude the engine was at or near its maximum  "effort". Usually, there is some signifigant difference in performance from one prop to another. Not here.

Status: offline 		14x6 is no problem. If it's a 3D type plane a 15x4W is pretty good also.

You might tell us what it's on, and we can tell you what has worked in the past.

Status: offline 		It's on my Great Planes Cap 580. I changed the carb to a Perry, and all I can say is WOW what a different engine.

I have a 14x4W Zinger on her now an have yet to get her in the air with it, but I know she's fast and I'm really not to interested in speed so a larger prop I believe is the way to go.

I appreciate everyones advice. I can't wait to get  her in the air. At 7 1/4 lbs it should be a real monster with aerobatics.

I use a 16x4W APC in my You-Can-Do .60 and a 15x4W APC,in my GEE -BEE R-2, both powered with MVVS .91 engines! The Super Tigre should manage those props too without problems.
For a sport typ plane a 14x6 APC or RAM is also a good choice!

Status: online 		13X7 zinger for every day but the magic prop was a 15X6N Pattern APC, not easy to find. Might have turned a 15X7N Pattern but never saw one.

Status: offline 		A 13x6 MA is not bad for instant throttle respons on a ST 90. I have this combo on an old H9 Pizzaz. It's not fast but it will JUMP out of a hover.
