I have been flying the Blade 120 sr and have a DX6i transmiter.I just purchased a good didital pitch measuring tool.I plan to only fly the 450 only in normal mode for some time and have not tried to fly it other than just lift it off the groud about a foot  .I have to have it between 6 tenths and 7 tenths throtle befor it lifts and then it comes down way to hard .I do not want to even try flying it untill I get some changes made on the settings.First of all : how do I know if I have the transmiter operating in the normal mode when I start and not in the stunt mode ?

I measured the pitch on the blades and this is what I came up with( these numbers were as it came right out of the box ) Throtle at LOW end. -14 and -15.8 =    one half thro was -1.7 and - 3.2 =  6 tenths thro was + 1.5 and + 2.7   =       7  tenths throtle was + 7.1 and  + 8.1  ( It lifted off the ground about half way between .6 and .7  throtle.)  Full throtle was +11.4 and + 11.7.

The following were the sugested setting for the DX6i transmiter in the 450x handbook for normal mode .  D/R  Expo  aile 1 =100%    Inh
                                                                                                                                                                        Elev. 1 =  !00%  Inh        Rudd.1  = 100%  Inh

                          Travel -Thro ,Elev , Gyro , Aile , Rudd , Pitch   are all 100 %                         Sub  trimm == are all 100 % for all the settings               gyro rate  is  77%

                          Thro curve  for normal  ======Low Pos.  =0 %         Pos.2  + 30%      Pos . 3  + 60 %       Pos  4   =60 %     High  Pos  = ^0%

                          Pitch Curve  for normal  =      Pos.Low = 30 %      Pos. 2  ==40%     Pos. 3 = 50%      Pos. 4  = 75%       Pos. High  = 100%

                         Swash Mix =    Inh                Revo Mix  =  0         Reverse Thro= N   Elev.  = N     Gyro = N      Aile = N     Rudd  = R     Pitch = R

                         Squash  Type   = 90 deg.               Thro cut =  Activ         D and R  = Inh

I would appreciate all sugestions. Thanks

It's coming down too hard because of the negative pitch. 50% would normally be 0 pitch 0% would then be negative 10 and 100% would then be +10. Set 0% to = -2 pitch and 100% = +10. work thes values out in your tx travel adjustments.You only need the larger negative pitch for 3D.
