Status: offline 		I just got a Yellow P38 kit for my 50th b-day (what a gift!)

It has the Yellow retracts, door actuators, brakes, fowler flaps and pretty much every Yellow option available for this plane.

I want to use a gas engine for reliability and less cleanup but I can't decide and I don't know what will fit with as little cutting of the cowlings as possible.

I would also like to use near scale 3 bladed props if possible.

I've looked at specs on the G-38, ZDZ-40RE, DA-50 or a US Engines 41.

I'm definitely looking for reliability above all and and an engine that can definitely be installed in the Yellow P38. I'm hoping the other readers here who have built this plane can give me some help and suggestions.

Status: offline 		The G-38 is the right size engine for this bird, but if you want to go with something even more reliable, you might want to consider a 3W or the ZDZ you mentioned. You'll spend a little more, but these engines are very reliable, and as you probably know, reliability is MOST important for a twin. I assume you have twin experience, as the P-38 is not a good first twin. Good luck. Sonny
