Hi

I have a HPI Firestorm and having endless problems trying to get it ti idle. I have read forums on how to setup the car, I have seen videos on you tube on how to set HSN and LSN and IDLE screw.
I set the car to the factory settings. All needles flush to the housing and idle screw1-1.5mm open. The car starts no problems.

1. Where do I go from here?
2. I have setup the HSN and the car does not stall on full throttle. It has a bit of bog at low RPM which is normal from what I have read and seen
3. Then I come to the LSN and this is where it all goes wrong. I have done the pinch test and the car seems to cut off about 2-3 seconds with the RPM going up slightly. This stage the RPM's are still high and the clutch is engaged.
4. How do I lower the RPM's so the car won't  move if I put it on the ground. Remember the idle screw is already set at 1-1.5mm. I have even tried making the gap small as possible but the RPM is still high.
Also sometimes the car just revs up really high without no throttle applied. Why does this happen. I have to richen it so the RPM's come down.

Please help

Thank You

You won't get much help posting in this forum as its for electrics only, and a lot of the ppl that post here never touched a nitro.
I would say post in the Nitro ST forum but that is kinda dead there. Here would be the best place http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_179/tt.htm

As for your issue did you try going back to factory defaults?
If its bogging out it sounds like you are a tad rich.
and its RPM rising sounds like you might have an air leak.
One other question are you tuning it when its at running temps(220F-260ish)?
