Dallaire Sportster built with two pice wing. 3 channel RC. came out a little heavy at 7 3/4 lb. Did a lot of reinforcing. I have not flown it yet.

I have one, too, from Holman Plans. 108" span, powered by a Saito .50. Mine is covered in Solartex, clear coated with Minwax Polyurethane (oil base).

Mine lumbers into the air, but then flies on 1/4 throttle.

Status: offline 		Finally got to fly it. Had to remove some wing incidence with shims, wanted to climb like crazy.
Fun airplane. Everyone at the field wanted to see it fly. Wants to float along at less than 1/4 throttle.

Status: offline 		Here's a couple of pics of our Dallaire. One of the guys (Bob) built it a couple of years ago and powered it with one of those RCV .60 engines. He crashed it on its first flight and was going to throw the whole thing away until another of us (Rick) convinced Bob to let him have the remains of the airframe. Last summer I spent a couple of months on a total rebuild (might have been easier to start from scratch!)
I converted it to electric with a Rimfire .55 from Tower and an old 5s 5000 LiPo from one of our pattern planes that was nearing the end of its usefullness. Covered it with the ends of several rolls of Ultracote we had lying around.

It flies great, plenty of power, just floats along at half throttle. Most of the guys in our club have flown it.
