Hey guys,
I have an 48" Extreme flight Extra 300 (this one... http://www.extremeflightrc.com/html/48extra.html ). I would like to know what motor, speed control and servos I should run in it. I have looked at hobby king but I don't know the motor size is required and don't know how to convert what EF recommends. What would you guys use from hobby king or other discount sites.
Thank for the help!
Guy

Well it tells you what power setup on the main page?

motor 2814 820kv

45 amp esc

4s battery

HS-65mg servos

So pick a 45amp ESC (5) 9gram metal gear digital servos, 2814 820kv Turnigy motor.

This might do it.

It does get confusing on what the numbers mean. Each manufacture uses a different set of numbers to mean about the same thing.

They do go quick. I have missed it too. I have been waiting for some servo's to get back in stock.

Try to look for a motor with the same numbers and KV rating. Then see if you can find a review on it.

Hi I have been flying my 48" Edge 540T for a while now they are so much fun. If you don't want to get the torque motor the Haker A30-14 v2 is a perfect match. As far as motor size it's a 35-42 motor. I run a cheap EMP 35-48 at around 700 watts with a hobbymate 60A ESC (bullet proof) and 13x6.5 prop. Leaders Hobby.com has good cheap motors they are identical to Turnigy stuff. I think mine was around $10-$15.
