Barry....I am building a Banshee too! Or, I guess I should say I am just getting started on a Banshee. Which Mark are you doing? I am planning on a -2. It will be about 10' span, but I haven't decided on the scale yet. It's a cool airplane...don't know why no one has done it.

thank you Jeff, good to meet you as well. Congrats on 3rd place and high static
in Masters.

Nice seeing the 109. Hope to see you build it up larger in the future, but for its
size, it sure flew well, and looked well in the air.

look forward to getting back again next year.

Wow....the full scale without tip tanks is right at 42 ft. span. At 1/3 scale, you must be in the neighborhood of 14' span? I like big models, but that one might be a little big even for me! I am working on a 16' UAV project now for the Navy, and I can hardly turn it around in my shop.

If you are interested in comparing notes on anything, just contact me. I am working on the aero details now...choosing airfoils, etc. My aero guy is going to run it through DATCOM for me ( a stability program in case you are not familiar with it) which really helps with CG location, incidence arrangement, wing twist and so on.

What did you use for drawings? Are there any good ones out there? Have you seen this? http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/preview.aspx?modelcode=8125

Jeff

Thanks Todd....I am definately doing a bigger one. Mine looked like a .40 size models out there with all the big T-bolts and Corsairs! I just need a little break from 109's though. Come back next year and fly with us!

Yeah Jeff, yours is just too small. After seeing at the airport this past weekend, you should just give it to me and build yourself a bigger one.

If I can make it to your fly-in....I'll let you fly it. It flies good...but not quite as good as the first one.

I will be putting in my request early to be close to "Warbird Alley".....those guys know how to have fun.

I also know what you mean about not knowing what airplane to build.....seems like I have a new "airplane of the day" two or three times a week!

now I know why you where pitted there Jeff

a close walk to warbird alley LoL

I change my mind every now and again on planes.

but one plane I have in plan form and have been messing with
for some time is an Arado AR240. Only 8 made or so during the war
but a very different twin engine none the less
