Status: offline 		I'm just getting back into the hobby and picked up a Losi Mini 8ight RTR. Just took it for the first run around my back yard and noticed a few things. I'm still definitely a newb so help me out.

1) I gave it a tiny bit of throttle and hear a little chatter somewhere, it's only when I give it a little throttle. I checked the pinion and spur mesh and it seems to be good but I can probably re-adjust it. Is there something else I can check?
2) How do I adjust the slipper on this? It seems to have come very loose from the factory. Do I have to take out the drive shaft or do I adjust it using the nut right next to the rear outdrive/shaft? Maybe i'm doing something wrong cause I was holding the spur and turning the nut with the provided wrench and it didn't seem to be doing anything. Should I be turning it clockwise or counter clockwise? See attached image of nut.

Status: offline 		I have read on another site to tighten snug it down the nut then back off 1/4 turn. But i an no expert, just what I read.

Very good question. Set it so that from a dead stop , take off full punch, it should slip anywhere from 1/2 to 1and 1/2 feet.
When you go from a slippery surface to high traction or just the opposite you should re-adjust it useing the same parameters. I hope this helps, if not send please let me know.

Status: offline 		I stripped the spur and ended up having to replace it and was able to adjust the slipper while everything was out. You can adjust the slipper while it's all put together but I found that you need to bind the rear diff (i.e. hold the rear wheels) and also bind the slipper. If you only hold the spur the shaft that connects the slipper to the rear diff will just spin with the nut and it won't do anything. Good luck.
