I got the 1/6 Panzer IV cables, 'C' shackles, wingnuts, and rear shackle mounts from 6th Scale Icons a few days ago and have been putting'em on. Their 1/6 Tiger stuff was too large scale BUT their Panzer IV cables and shackles are about just right for 1/8!

When I put the cables together I made sure they were flat against the sides before the glue dried and the rear shackle mounts took some SERIOUS figuring so I 'relaxed' my little brain some with 'brane juice' (so then didn't CARE!) and they turned out close enough. I'd ordered the larger wingnuts but Mike at 6th Scale changed the order to the smaller wingnuts and I'm sure GLAD HE DID cause they look just right. I had to replace the larger bolts I'd already put on with smaller ones on all the cable mounts but they turned out the 'right' size. They screw on perfectly and if I ever have to take stuff off it'll be easy.

Since RC Armory don't have the tool set anymore (they were cast plastic anyway...), yesterday I went ahead and made the shovel and that was a JOB and it's rough but hopefully nobody will look too close at it. This morning I made the front shovel mount and put it on. In the next few days I'll try making the the axe and sledge hammer. Figured I'd make the shovel first cause knew that would be hardest one to fabricate! I'm dreading the extingisher and cutters...

Just wanted to keep ya informed on what I've been working on and there's a LOT of painting, weathering, and details that have to be done on this. I'm having fun working on it but there's so much more detail I have to go.

Just wanted to keep ya aprised on how it's coming along... Mike in Kentucky
