just curious what shoe size you wear and what type you wear everyday. i'm a size technically a 13.5 but wear 14's because i like the extra toe space. i always wear steel toed boots because they are comfortable, last forever and one of the few options at stores around here that big. when i wore tennis shoes, i'd go through a pair every 4-6 months. i've had these boots for about a year now and they are just now starting to get tattered. they'll need replacing by the first snowfall.

Used to be in boots most the time but now I wear worn-out 3 year old running shoes or Vibram KSO's I walk around barefoot most the time around the house.

11 US, euro 44, work shoes for work, prefer driving shoes for leisure (Puma Ferrari or Adidas Monaco for example, still my favorite shoe), I got used to the feeling of a thin shoe, now regular sneakers feel like boats.

I wear a size 11-12, depends on the brand. I've been wearing Nike for years. I've had my green nike 6.0 for about 4 years now, they are worn but man are they comfortable. Im currently wearing nike airs. I used to wear steel toed but they got uncomfortable. Once ina  while I'll wear my timberland ro series work boots out on the shop where I work (cold formed steel manufacturing plant) with the met guard and steel toe. they actually are pretty comfy but are a hefty boot.

I don't know what is wrong with your feet, but i was given orthopedics too, but i through them away, since i started exercising while wearing vibrams its like i have new feet again! at first it was painful and made my feet and legs sore, but now my feet are strong as ever, my arches are fine and actually wearing regular shoes or orthopedics make my feet sore. shoes more or less are like a cast- and your feet stop using muscles, and so you eventually need more support because the foot has atrophied.

I love my monkey feet, but i avoid wearing them in restaurants and college for obvious reasons.

I'm not a hippie, i love eating things that had faces.

I have very flat feet so I had to get prescription orthopedics in order for my feet to point straight when walking. Or else my feet go sideways and I look like a duck.

They feel so awesome though, like wearing a pair of super soft socks but have tons of grip.
