Hi Guys,

Which U.A.T. do you guys use for the larger turbines, lets say class 160 or larger. I have read do to the strong fuel demand from the larger turbines one should consider the all aluminum or CF U.A.T's. Has anyone had any trouble with the BVM or Hanson U.A.T's collapsing? What's your experience?

Thanks in advance,

I use Tom Cooks UAT. It doesn't collapse (its made of machined alum.) also it has larger fittings for larger fuel lines. Here is the link:

I would suggest either the Jet Model Products unit as Andy listed above or the GBR Jets Composite Air Trap (CAT)

See Here: http://dreamworksrc.com/catalog/gbrjets-composite-trap-130ml-p-1970.html
or the Larger version: http://dreamworksrc.com/catalog/gbrjets-composite-trap-large-260ml-p-1971.html

We also offer the JMP version.... http://dreamworksrc.com/catalog/machined-accumulator-large-fittings-p-2058.html

All these units have fittings sized for larger engines which drastically reduce fuel restriction, easing load on the pump.

Thanks for the input guys...

Todd I was on your site last night trying to decide. Which size do you recommend, how much fuel does the typical U.A.T holds?

The Hanson and BVM UAT hold 4oz.

Jetfan,

The CAT 'M' is a 130ml unit, this is roughly 4.4oz and would be fine with 100-180N turbines, whilst it would also be fine with a 180N+ turbine you will not have much reserve should you drain the main tanks so a CAT 'L' would be a better option in this case - the L is 260ml, so roughly 8.8oz.

They come with a mount too and can be positioned in almost any orientation.

Standard BVM or Hanson will work fine with this size engine; OR you could go with the Medium CAT or the JMP Accumulator. Personally prefer the JMP or CAT units.
