how and what would you use to fix the trailing edge of the aileron in the pictures?   the guy who built this plane that the wing is from suggested bondo or some other type hobby of filler ( i cant remember which one he said) and then covering it with a piece of covering. the only problem that i have with the bondo is i can not seem to find white bondo i can only find red and i think the red would show through the white monokote covering. what do you guys think?

It's tiny, seal it up with a smear of epoxy then cover with a scrap of film. No other work required.

Thanks pimmnz. that would work but i was trying to get the cleanest look possible to keep the plane looking the best it can. this wing is from a 50cc plane and lookes like it was chewed on by a mouse or small rodent wile it was sitting for a couple of years. if you click full size on the first picture that is almost the exact size of the damage that was done witch is about an inch long by maby a 1/4 inch deep.

Take a piece of 1/4" balsa and cut out the aileron and fit the stick, sand & cover. Or maybe you could use some filler and sand & cover. I agree wit pimmnz; just seal it, cover, and go fly.
The only way I know to keep it pristine is to hang it in the living room (that'll get HER blood boiling, but that's why we married 'em)

I would peel the covering on both side back. Cut out the bad section. Cut a balsa patch and thin CA it in place. Then sand it down. Then patch over the new piece with white monocote. Finally lay back down the covering you peeled in step one. This would give you the cleanest job. Although there is something to be said for just covering over it.

Ya, what he said! Cover it and fly it till you crash it! Then this minor hickey will be totally forgotten!
