, they call that damaged in your country? Here in the US is normal for USPS

Funny!

I head great luck with USPS so far. Here you stay away from DPD parcel curier. They already "lost" 2x of my packages from France. I was supposed to have signed for one, & I was supposed to have signed for it in a city I do not live in (that's what it showed on tracking). The other one I never got notification for it and they supposedly "send it back" but the sender never go it back. Once I asked a DPD driver about it, and he loughed and told me off the record that DPD drivers are so poorly paid & so overworked that if they "like" a package, it will disappear without a trace. Like a bonus or something . Welcome to the Czech Republic! You know there was a popular saying in the old communist regime that stated: "If you don't steal, you are stealing from your family." Many people here can't change even 20 years after the end of communism. A Big turnoff IMO!

Cheers, V.

Well as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Sometimes it's just a cheap product, while other times it is the service the suffers.

I did place one HK order a while back, and one of the items in the order was out of stock. No biggie, right? Well after 2 months I finally gave up and cancelled that item. They did eventually get that item back in stock, about 4 months after I placed the original order. I knew full well it was out of stock, but that was one heck of a long wait for a single servo.

Vasek,
I beleave you just solved the mystery damage for me. It went through customs. Haven't you ever heard stories of them tearing cars and even airplanes apart lookimg for illegal contraban?. I'll bet they opened up your box. If they did, and you got $10 from HK then your comming out ahead for sure. Hey, after a couple years of use I doubt youll even notice those dents, knowing foam planes, theres more dents comming. Enjoy it while its looking its best.

I dislike hobby king hatters, most American hobby stuff is simply assembled in the US from made in china parts anyways, You are just paying for better QC(quality control). Just be smart about what you buy. With the savings you get from hobby king I will forgive the odd discrepancy or damage, 9 times out of 10 everything is perfect.
No disrespect vasek but that damage was very minor, I could live with it, but maybe I'm just not that picky.

Essar.

Just go to your local hobby shop and look at some of the replacement parts for ParkZone planes. That kind of slight damage is common with fommies.
Does that make it right......No but when you buy something from the cheepest place you can buy it, it's out of the country and as it has been said repeatedly on so many forums here and elsewhere you take a risk buying from them.... You get what you get.
Do you take all the time and effort to build a kit (or an ARF for that matter) then go out and buy the cheapest equiptment you can find to put into it? Then wonder why it fails and comes crashing down out of the sky..... This should be no suprize what so ever. Put it together, go fly it and try to enjoy it befor it falls apart altogether.

It mostly looks like shipping damage to me. Those UPS, FedEx and USPS people here in the USA really shake up packages and drop them. They even toss packages over six foot fences rather than bring them to the door. News stations were broadcasting videos of this happening during this past Christmas season when a FedEx driver tossed a box containing a new TV over a six foot fence. That same week, postal workers were caught on videos doing similar things with packages. I'm sure you have identical situations in your country with the carriers there. So, damages can happen inside the box without any damage showing on the box itself.

Besides that, it's a far stretch to say that Hobby King is going down the tubes just because of this instance. Instead, you should be praising them. Ten dollars is more than enough to compensate you for the "scratch and dent" plane that you ended up with, due to SHIPPING DAMAGE. Shipping damage is NOT the fault of the seller. And if you want to think the damage happened when the manufacturer packed the plane, then blame them ... Not Hobby King. Maybe your plane could have fallen while in the posession of Hobby King, but you don't know that. The most likely culprit here is the shipping service. Hobby King did you a BIG favor. You should thank them.

I ordered from Hobby King many times. Several times, packages were delivered to me looking like they were used as a football. I'm sure my packages didn't leave Hobby King in that condition. It's a good thing Hobby King packed my orders well. Otherwise, EMS and USPS would have destroyed the contents.

It's not the fault of Hobby King ... its the shipper that you need to blame.

Hobby King is only a distrubutor, and in my opinion, they did more than necessary to compensate you for this. So stop crying, and get over yourself. You will probably do more damage than that on your first flight.

The only mistake he made was being suprised at his dealings with them. Hobby King is not going down the tubes, they have been there almost from the beginnning.

Get real no damage is at all acceptable. Its as if HK works under a whole different set of rules and standards knowing that they will get away with it. S**t can HK. Maybe its not to late for the high priced US companies with great service to stay in business. I truely hope that they do make a comeback because I really feel guilty buying from HK. Maybe they could get better pricing to go along with their excellent service. Maybe better yet a new US company that goes direct to China to get stuff and then does it right and we could all say Adios to HK

I can understand your frustration, after waiting for days in anticipation of seeing a beautiful corsair and then to ur horror see the damaged wings.

But try to see things from the seller's viewpoint. I'm not saying you are doing this, so hold on the steam coming out of your ears. If HK were to have a policy of always sending a brand new replacement wing or tail plane, etc whenever a customer were to claim the part was damaged during shipping, do you know what will happen? Dishonest customers will self inflict some damage, and ask for replacement. "haha free spare!"

did you actually open the package in front of the delivery person, examine everything and point out the damage? Probably not since we do that only if the packaging is damaged, and yours was not.

how much will the same plane cost if you bought from LHS? Betcha it will cost more, much more. I buy from HK with my eyes wide open, willing to take a bit of imperfection in order to indulge my hobby at a lower cost than if i bought everything from my LHS.

Re my previous post, not sure how to edit it, so, let me add that you did not actually say wing was damaged in shipping, but that HK sent you a damaged wing. But same logic applies (if you can see the other fellow's point of view). Anyone can self inflict damage, make a claim, and get a foc spare part. I think HK will really go down the tube if they did this. Maybe your LHS can do that cos you have already paid for 2 planes when you buy 1!

I've been ordering from them for 2 years. About 15-20 orders. Aside from slow shipping about 1/2 the time I have never had to return anything or contact cs for anything. It's ot like the wing was ripped in 1/2 and will probably get worse damage in a high grass landing. You could always go to Tower and 4 times the $ for the same product with a different label. Just sayin.

The last time I ordered from Hobby King was about 2 years ago and before that I have ordered dozens of times to the tune of thousands of dollars................I am SOOOOO LUCKY the U.S. Post Office has not lost or damaged the foam airplanes I have ordered nor the gas engines, glow engine, brushless motors, chargers LiPo batteries, servos, connectors, etc. etc. Twice the U.S.P.S. sent my order around the U.S. to New York then to Florida and then one time they let it seat in their giant main station in L.A. for 2 weeks and then magically they all suddenly appear in my doorstep....VOILA!!!!! All the items....including the foam airplanes were delivered without ANY DAMAGE.......call that lucky........but I am ready to absorb a loss if some items appear damaged.....because it would cost a fortune to ship it back to HONGKONG!!!! I deal with these offshore discount hobby shops from Hongkong and I would yet be shortchanged.......again call that lucky!!! However......I have received a damaged cabin cover in a Cessna 421 glow airplane and missing items from some orders from Nitroplanes.......and they were ready and willing to replace the cracked cabin cover............so it does happen there is damage in packing or shipping and there are misplaced/missing items in multiple item orders......but all in all I am still lucky in getting the problem resolved. Be patient in dealing with these discount hobby shops as they deal with thousands of orders from all over the world and there will always be damaged/missing items that they have to deal with on a daily basis............it takes time to deal with it......and they will.....just be insistent and be patient and be insistent and be patient and............that is why they are discounting so much compared to U.S. big name retailers because they have to be strict with their return/refund policy otherwise their margin of profit will be consumed by fraudulent claims/returns. They have to be strict with the claims/return policy because their margin of profit is thinner than the U.S. big name retailers who will charge 2-3 times the price for the same equivalent item. Sorry for this long post. Larry.
