My stock wheels for my tornado s30 are wearing down to almost nothing now and im looking for better wheels and I'm wondering if these will fit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pro-Line-Dirt-Hawg-I-Titus-Bead-Loc-1-16-E-Revo-1071-13-/200715527518?_trksid=p4340.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D15%26pmod%3D300664818596%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D8372740439438321248

I thin you will find these wheels are a bit too small, they are for a 1/16 scale car. Look for something that fits a Jato.

I heard something about using 2.8'' wheels you have to change the gear ratio or something? Anyway these are some jato wheels i was looking at: http://prolineracing.com/tires/dirt-hawg-2.8-traxxas-style-bead-all-terrain-tires-mounted-on-desperado-black-front-wheels/

So to basically sum things up before I waste $65, the first ones I was looking at on ebay (2.2'') will work?

Well, it's hard to say. They don't talk about the offset or post a pic of the inside of the rim. Personally I think that's a lot for what your looking for. I first replaced my stock Redcat rims with 5 spoke HPI 2.2 rims. They were $6 for a pack of 2. Then I paid about $15 for a pack of Proline speed hawgs. So about $45 total. The eBay link you posted is almost $80 for 4 tires and rims. To me, unless you just have money to burn, I wouldn't even consider that deal.

my buddy just got a tornado epx pro...and my new one is coming monday (YAY)
any kind of pavement driving wears down the stock tires very fast.

Those tires for the 1/16 revo may work. The ad says they are 3.6inches tall. I dont have my buggy yet to messure the tires, but that sounds pretty close.
Even tho the 1/16 revo is a smaller scale, the tires are oversided for the size of the truck.

Anyone wanna messure and post the diameter of the stock tires?

offset is another thing to consider. you want a rim with maximum offset...this will ensure the rim doesnt hit the steering arm/camber link ect. an offset of "0" could give you a rim that will hit. an offset of a higher number is safer.

Any rim made for the rustler/bandit/stampede that is 2.2 and for the REAR will fit just fine as it has a good offset. Same goes for the other EPX Pro models and the caldera's.

Here is a pic of my Tornado when I first replaced the stock rims. These are the HPI 2.2 rims with the Proline Speedhawgs. Believe it or not, these low profile street tires ran well in loose dirt and grass. I really expected them to feel like being on ice when not on the street but that wasn't the case. The second pic is when I modded it to run the bigger 2.8 rims. Proline Desperado rims with Proline Dirthawgs.

I noticed you did want black spoked rims, but if you wanted to save cash, make sure they will fit, and require no modding, try the JCONCEPTS Mono B4.1/B44.1/RB5 12mm wheels. I run these on my Tornado s30 right now and they are fine. Heres the link to the front and rear.

Front:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JCONCEPTS-Mono-B4-1-RB5-12mm-Front-Wheel-Yellow-4-3347Y-/200748540272?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item2ebd8ba170

Rear:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JCONCEPTS-Mono-B4-1-B44-1-RB5-12mm-Rear-Wheel-Yellow-4-3348Y-/170828393820?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item27c62a6d5c

Whats good about these rims are they come with 4 in a pack for pretty cheap. So you can put one set of tires on one set and another on the other set. The tires im using right now are the "Pro-Line Racing 8210-02 Caliber 2.2 M3 Soft Off-Road Buggy Tires".

The HPI rims fit front and back without any modification. A set of 4 cost about $12. They are very durable. I thought this would be a great alternative to the link the OP posted. And yes, the 2.2 speed hawgs or any other 2.2 Tue will fit as long as there truck style wide tires, not skinny buggy tires.

Looks good. Is that a fuel filter on your pressure line?

Yeah, I've got two aluminium fuel filters on it, one for exhaust to gas tank and gas tank to carb

Put the 2.2 HPI wheels and speed hawg tires on my shockwave but the inside of the front tires rub the steering linkage. Did anyone have this issue with the tornado.

Are you running the stock hex. I first tried them with the stock Redcat 12mm hex and they just fit.

Where does it rub? I just went back in this thread and looked at the pic I posted and the one Yolunda posted and you can see the clearance between the rim and knuckle when looking through the rim.

Yes I am running the stock hex. the wheel clears the steering linkage but the linkage rubbs on the inside side wall of the tire. Is there another hex I can use to maybe give me a little more space.
