i had a prop strike today on our grass runway... the prop didnt break mainly because it was all that hard of a hit and it was a carbon fiber prop, it was my last flight..

while unloading my plane i turned the prop and it felt rough.... do you think that prop strike coulddve ruined my bearings? or what would cause it to feel rough? this dl50 has close to 30 gallons through it and runs strong, and is my best behaved gas engines....... im too beat right now to take it apart tomorrow for sure... im also curious to see how the engine looks after many gallons of Stihl Ultra 40:1...

the prop hub should just slide off, they use a woodruff key.
You may need to use a bearing puller to get them out.

Can you do a close up of the inside of the cyl head? How well has it lasted?

it seems to be in good shape, ive been very pleased with this motor... a new set of bearings from tower costs about 15 bucks and new gasket kit 5, a Bowman ring about 16 shipped... it can be repaired for under 50 dollars
