Hello all,
Just finished getting the throttle fixed. I think Robert will even like it LOL. Can’t think of any reason it shouldn't be ready to maiden Sunday.
The DLE recommends an 18/8 prop for braking in I will pick one up next week in the mean time I will have to use a 18/6 don’t plan on flying full throttle so I don’t see any problem.

Robert, see ya in the morning.

Hello guys,
Well the maiden went off this morning as soon as the fog let up. As far as I’m concerned it went quilt well Robert was rock steady no worries. Still have a few miner adjustments to do. Here are a few pictures until I get the video uploaded to you tube. I’m the one giving out instructions to Robert LOL

And that last picture is me thinking "You want me to do what?"
Seriously, the maiden went fine. The first pass on the ground, just at the point of flight, showed it wanted to roll hard to the right. Brought it back around and gave it ten click's left aileron. Rudder tracking was fine on the groung and very responsive. So another go? Oh yea! Throttle still has it idling give it a little and were moving. At lift it still wanted to roll a little, just enough to give it a wiggle, but nothing drastic like the first pass. So now she's up, time for some trimming. Those big wheel increases the drag quite a bit. Had to give several click's up trim for level flight. A couple more up click's on the elevator and it's flying good. Time to bring it down while I'm not shaking so hard I can't. WOW Did you see that landing? Could not do that again if I had to, I'm not known for smooth landing's. LOL
Very nice plane and a nice flyer. And no I did not touch the flaps, I don't fly to well backwards. It's a floater.
Now we just need some video to go with this!

Hey guys here’s the video hope you enjoy.

First thing after getting back home was to clean the oil spots of the plane. I finally went to Home Depot and got some acetone it got 99% of the oil off the plane but also got some of the yellow in the process so I can see I definitely have to seal the covering with something. Any suggestions on what to use?

That was not the first time it left the ground. The first time was way worse with right roll, as mentioned above I cut the throttle and came back around and made some adjustment.

It left the ground for maybe 1 second. Drove back, not flew back.
