Hi,

When You write "cut" do you mean a lasercut short kit?

One of my friends back in 1970th built one but he moved to another town so I never saw it fly.
Nice plane.

The magazine posted above, has the plans in it. I purchased it on easy bay, have it in a week, see what's inside. This subject was talked up 6 years ago on RCU Antique-Golden Age forum. I was searching on the bay for Kraft wheels, the mag came up with the Slik Fli on the front cover, plans inside.

Hi,

Plan is available from RCM&E Plans service.
I bought a copy from them a year or so ago.

Hi,

Not built it yet. No kit cut.

Link to order the plan if needed:

http://www.myhobbystore.co.uk/product/22208/rc1035-slik-fli

Plan show no retractable landing gear but show fixed retracts.
See two pictures below I took on my drawing for You to show the landing gear.

I still remember the guy in my club that built it, oboy he carved and sanded alot to get everything to nice rounded edges on the fuselage.
Back then I thought it was big when I saw it on his building table, now when I look the the drawing I think it kind of small.

Turbo, Bem, thanks very much. Bo, I went to the site, not able to navigate to the Slik Fli. Will try again. Everything froze up, like I inherited a virus.

If it's the look you're after, you can get Dragon Fli plans from AMA plans service. The Dragon Fli appears to be a slightly later design, published in 71. It looks very much like the Slik Fli but has a double taper wing and barn door ailerons. Also uses foam core wing and stab, retracts and fixed gear are shown on the plans.

GL - That is close, good alternate, thanks very much. Bem, thanks. I have already had a contact to get the full kit cut. Another source, www.lasercutusa.com is about 20 miles from my home.

Did you ever find any kraft wheels?

Soon as I get the condensed plans, if complete, will get to Pat at LaserCut. Get to printer first, will keep this thread alive, see what we come up with, going to take a little time.

I remember this plane.    I was a lot of fun to fly, but  it  DID NOT  need flaps.    It is also has very nice lines.  If you have it cut,   get  several copies cut.   Because once you build and fly this plane, you will want another one and so will your friends.   I wouldn't mine having another one my self.  Even if I had to cut out all the pieces myself.

However,  if I remember right,   there was very little room in the nose for a retract.

Frank

Received te mag and Phil Krafts article. Study this more, retracts may be out, looking at the nose. It is mid-wing, has a skinny nose. Is there some Eyeball flavor here?
