Yellow does not make a cowl for its Merlin spit. They make the fuse and then a front chin block. I don't know of anyone making a Merlin cowl?? BobH.

All the Brian Taylor airplanes use a fiberglass full cowling. For your purposes this would include the 69 inch MkI or II and his 83 inch span MkVIII or IX. Vic Catalasan can provide you with an accurate cowl for an 83 inch MkI through MkV cowl.

Hey Joe, Bob Holman used to handle the stuff for the Reeves 1/4 scale Spit. Might be worth a call.

Thanks CHad will for sure make a phone call. I had heard somewhere though that he was going to but wasnt cost effective but I will def call be cheaper to make a phone cal than to possibly pay more.

for info purposes From Mick the cowls, canopy, wheels, spinner and i think there was something else was 125 lbs sterling shipped so roughly 190 US

Joe, I know Bob carried the stuff at one time because I ordered it from him. I got the plans, canopy, and spinner but no cowl. He had the cowl but I did not purchase it as I was using the stuff with a glass fuselage. Bob did mention it was too expensive to import the entire fuselage but the cowls he did have on hand. Of course, this was all about 4 or 5 years ago so things may have changed. Good luck with it.

I know his phone number is 909-885-3959. Last I checked his email was bhplans@aol.com but I'm not positive that is current any longer.

I made two cowls for my 1/5 scale Spitfire Mk I ........ which is a Merlin-engined Spitfire. The plane is built from blown 3 views so I had to make everything...but the cowls follow the scale panel lines.....
