"Model Airplane" is an international language! I was able to access RCU in Poland. I can't speak or write Italian but it looks like you're speaking perfect "Model Airplane" to me so please keep going; I like it! Someone else recently turned me on to the Outerzone free plans site that you referenced in some of your posts in which I have similar interests...

Yes, dependin on the time I will have and money.

I think No -name and the drawing on page 2 should be a good start for those who are interested to approach the R/C pylon racing world. The ample wing surface coupled to proven airfoils should guarantee successful flies without troubles.
The Tsunami Pegna would be a bit critical (so i like it). More suited to straight fast passes attempts than fly around the pylons.

P.s. : to go fast with a Nelson Q.40 engine, the very first 'Tsunami' drawing should be nice. But You have to use a M.H. semisymmetrical airfoil mounted at 0° (not the airfoil i indicated on the plan... more suited for a fast aerobatic plane..)

It costruction is really fast and simple.

Errata corrige: There was a mistake on the No-Name drawing. The 'main' frame is correct, you have to redraw the other two, anyway I think it could work fine the same (more space for the engine).

(concludendo la chiacchierata, distintamente saluta),

Giovanni Pavan

windcosmic,

Are you designing the Tsunami/Pegna to comply with rules of some racing class like QM-40 or Formula I or is it just for fun and to go fast?

- Qualcuno ha rimosso il mio post : 'no, i just drew it to have fun with my HP 28s. '

- e ho mentito: L'HP28s ha da un anno le batterie scariche... no direi che quel disegno è un altro 'disegno delirio'.

The best of all is the one I drew with the pencil (drawings are on page 2). It is very well suited to fly with the old F1 engines (the 'image base' is pretty the same).

I am not interested to 'compete' in any racing circuit..

The one with elliptical wings should be very good looking. + or - the old Flair 'Shark'. Nice with a Quickee 500 engine.

Air Combat wing built months ago with the aid of Giuseppe Panzieri's article. I still have to sand it well.
I cut a bigger wing with his method and it worked.

I permit myself to 'post' a very interesting link to the Webpage of Mr. Panzieri with some nice 'how to's' : http://www.46squadron.it/Consiglio%2046.htm

simplify it by yourself: http://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=1861

solution: you can make the wingtips squared instead of rounded.

the tail surfaces could be built with conventional wingribs instead of the more complex geodetic structure.

Turn this control line stunter into a .40 R/C pylon racing plane: http://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=211

solution: you have to make strongest the tail surfaces (you can make them out from 5mm balsa sheets).

You have to change the airfoil and to move the trailing edge at the begin of the flapped area. better, in the hinge's centre position.
The wing area is too large. Once you'll have removed the flaps, you will have obtained the right root chord.
