It should, mounting the pipe to the manifold is my question

different pipe - need the 8'0's header and exhaust

but honestly, why would you swap out an mgt 8.0 engine into a savage?  I love it, don't get me wrong... and ported, these motors can be amazing... but the savage has so many established swaps out there, including several LRP options that'll embarass the stock 8.0...   just wondering why you would bother.

if it's just something you have around - go for it.  you can even make the exhaust work if you're willing to cut it up and use a high temp flex hose

but honestly, why would you swap out an mgt 8.0 engine into a savage? because of torque.

with the 8.0, achieving high rpm is your only problem.

Goatcrapp I'm guessing you run at FBF, yes?

Hi there, I'm from Malaysia & I have been following this forum for sometime now. Its been very informative & educational and I have learnt alot about my MT.
I run a Thunder Tiger S50 with a 8.2cc (50 engine) and would like to change to LRP Nitro Engine ZR.32 Spec.2 with Pullstart.
I would like to what I need to change e.g mounting block, clutch bell/clutch, tuned pipe/manifold to accomodate the LRP engine?
Regards,
Nachi

save your self the energy, please just buy a rotor-start system or dual starter like the mgt4.6.

i prefer the MGTs fan blade fly wheel for better cooling

Pipe: JP-4, ERCM, Buku

after just getting my mgt 8.0 I will say for immediate and incredible torque, nothing is going to beat it, nothing, but it is not going to be as fast as a good .21-.32, it just can't spin those rpm's and for a rig that was not built for it, i think this engine will just blow the drive train apart.

Just re-gear, also try contacting ERCM about gaining more rpm out of the 8.0 block

I'll dig up the info i had, but i had my 8.0 mill ported/polished.  While it's not turning 25k rpm's like some motors out there, its definitely pulling higher revs as a result.

I believe so - i'll dig out the spec sheet.  It was a rebuilder that was recommended from this forum, ages ago

I had R&B Modds do the extreme modd to my 8.0.I got 50% more power on the low end and 1,000 more rpm on the high. And it is insane.I have had 4 of these sent out to different modd companies and the best performance wise, was R&B
