I was just wondering what settings I should be using on my icharger 206B with my Hanger 9 12v 7Ah sealed battery? I set the charger for PB and when I plug in 12V it comes up as a 6 cell battery, which I guess it is then. Now for the charge rate, should I be using .70mAh or 7.0 or what? I charged it for about 45 minutes using .70mAh and it still seems almost dead. I don't know much about charging or batteries. Thanks.

700mah

You might have the peak detection set too sensitively- basically the charger prematurely detects a peak voltage and stops charging.

Try charging at 700mah for 10hrs or so, should get around 13-14v when fully charged I think!

I just looked at the charger screen again and it is set at .70 A I thought it was mAh but it just says A for amps I guess. So should I set it at 7.0 A ?

No! Charging at 7amps is charging at 1C, you need to charge at 0.1C so 0.1C x 7000mah= 700mah. That's 0.7amps. Should take around 10hrs.

Thanks, I set the charger at .70A so I'll see how that goes.

Yes, set it at 0.1C or 0.7amps. you will ruin a Pb if you charge it to fast. You should not have to worry about overcharge as your charger, if designed to charge Pb cells, will limit the voltage it gets charged to. This will be about 13.7volts for a 6 cell battery.
