Please see the attached notice for the Whitman Flyers Electric Fly-In. This has quickly become known as one of the best electric fly-in in the northeast. All electric aircraft are welcome. No pressure, just a nice relaxing fly-in at one of the best flying sites in the northeast. Lats year we had over 80 pilots and 230 aircraft of ALL TYPES!!! Please pass it along to your club and anyone else you can think of.

Everyone must have their current A.M.A. card to fly
Park admission collected at the tollbooth Open to all AMA Members
$5.00 Landing Fee (includes food and beverage)
Registration starts at 8:00 am
First flight will be 9:00 am
3D- Flying will be permitted during the lunch break only!!!

3 weeks to the fly-in and everything looks great. The responce for the 3rd year in a row looks HUGE. Now as an added surprise we are going to have demos of electric control line at lunch time and an electric Deloreon on display. If you fly electric, or are even thinking about getting into it, come by and spend the day with us. It will be a lot of fun!

Status: offline 		FINAL DECISION- Whitman Flyers Electric Fly-In is ON!!!b]The forecast has improved a lot over the last two hours now. It should be dry after 6am till about 3pm with only a 15% chance of a passing shower. It is supposed to be 83, mostly cloudy, winds out of the south/southwest at 7-10 mph. Should be just fine, I hope you can make it. Sounds like everyone is coming.

Status: offline 		Leading up to the event all we heard on the weather was doom and gloom, rain almost all day for Saturday. Then on Friday, all of a sudden things started to look up. Well the weather guys smiled on us and we had a great day. First flights were already up by 8:15. 59 pilots who flew, 220+ airplanes, great food and friends, what more could you ask for. We had an Electric Delorean on display, electric control line demos at lunch time, real slick 3D Helicopters demo's, Rick did some great low level 3D with his plane all during the hour long lunch break. By 1pm back to flying until almost 4pm. More than 400 flights were logged for the day from six flight stations without any loss.

My club members came up big making it all happen without a hitch. Mark is down for 2013. This is one event you don't want to miss if you like electrics and like to FLY!!! AUGUST 10, 2013Thanks again to those who came
