It all depends on how you drive, the track, and the conditions. Foams will last anywhere from one race to about three. If you start to slide on em though, they WILL start to "chunk". "Cunking", is when large chunks of foam start to fly off tires due to irregular tire rotation (sliding).

whoa, people sure are touchy here. Ok, now that you all have sucessfully scared off the orginal poster...good goin.

I own a TC3, i love them, and i got that pimp was just joking. the :P makes it kinda obvious. I mean come on people, calm down!

And back to the original question: someone metnioned aluminum stuff getting pricy, well IMO, aluminum stuff is mostly just eye candy, least on the TC3. The CVD's that come with the racer kit are just as durable as the aluminum ones, and actually lighter, which translates into less rotating mass, and is good. Same with the drive shaft to an extent. Obviously the aluminium one will hold up better when your using extreme motors etc, but for most motors, the stock one is gonna be fine, and lighter. Light is good.

Thanks spoon! glad somebody else chimned in... ya.. i was just stating that the TC3 isn't one of my first choices...

I agree, aluminum is mostly eyecandy SOME of the time.. but for example on my Schumacher mission... alluminum diff housings and layshaft housings are WAY better, because the hold the bearings a little more strait, and threading the fine threaded screws into alluminum is much easier and more accurate then the large threads into plastic...

but the alluminum is heavier.. correct.

And yet again you have showed how adult you are, Making fun of a Persons name just because it is different from a name you commonly hear........ thanks for being narrow minded
