One of the issues with a pusher is the airflow hitting the prop which includes the oil from the exhaust, by getting the exhaust stream away from the prop your not loading it up with oil.
I thought you were talking about the oil needed for cooling the engine, were you talking about the nitro content?

Hi everybody,

I would like to thank everybody for their comments. I know that the Enforcer is not a speed plane in its current stock configuration. I never really wanted it to be. What I was looking for where those individuals that modded the Enforcer with a turbine, extended the fuselage and added canards. I knew that there would be a shift forward in CG but I wanted to make sure that I knew how much and for any pointers on the specific mods of adding to the fuselage length and canards. To AmishWarlord, I bought the plans for the Crusader II awhile back. I am still sitting on the fence as to whether I want to make it glow or electric. The idea of making it EDF might be another possibility for me too.

Happy flying and sfot landings!

Sounds like a fun project as long as your not looking for all out speed with it. Hope you can find something as far as the details as far as the canard setup I'd bet it would make for an interesting plane. EDF's are nice as long as you can carry a fair amount of weight for the batteries, they like a lot of power, not all that big of a deal with today's lithium batteries. Something like a Hoffman Magnetics wild beast comes to mind.

The Crusader was drawn up by someone who's got an eye for beauty. Very artistic.

Now with all of that having been said,I kinda like the idea of the twin tractor powered canard, here is a sketch that some one drew from my description awhile back.

Someone should build one.

I think the rudder setup should make for it have some interesting performance for a canard.

EDF will work, the glow ducted fan was know as the Byro-Blaster using a Byron Fan unit.

At my local club's fun fly there was a twin EDF delta wing, may have been an Enforcer or Force One.
The fans were side by side along the center line. sorry no pictures.
