I finally put on the elevators today, found one small problem but easy fix. I really like how the elevator mounts and its easy to get in and check things without taking the pipes out. They added a small hatch on both sides right under the elevator control clamp, which makes elevator removal very easy. Open the door, loosen four 3mm screws and pull off the rudder, great for travel. The bearings could be a little larger for such a big elevator, but you could always add larger if needed and since I have heard no reports on these I will use the stock bearings.
I will try and get the rudders on next but still need two Sbus servos for that so when I get them I will post a video showing more on the elevators and rudder install.

It really did turn out better than I could have hoped for, the paint colors and pattern are a head turner.

Well I got some things for my Birthday!
Pictures and video are in low light so it doesn't do it justice, I need to clean the jet up has it has some dust on it and it I put hand prints all over it handling it.....
I am extremely excited about how the paint on the 15, this was done before they moved to the new paint shop by the way. Lowell told me who was painting for them and I forgot his name, but the boy has skill
Video# uploading http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5SxDat8Rl8&feature=youtu.be
The light kit seems nice quality and I like the 11.1 volt size battery it uses.
The ordinance is very nice, very light now and from what I can tell about as light as u can get with this type material.
I really like the cockpit, I was looking at one from another site, but this one looks just as good, only thing I need to add is a heads-up display.
Another Birthday present is from uncle sam, looks like I am heading to Kentucky in a couple months instead of New York. This changes a lot for me so, I get to attend the best jet event around this year after all!

Hello Fender.......
I have to agree with you on the paint.
I have the same color scheme.
About a month ago I got my 1/9 scale single F-15
My paint was done in a high gloss. Flawless
Very impressed.
How are you doing on the supplied screws, bolts ETC???
I had to dig into my supplies many times.
One other thing,, I understand your F-15 is bigger. Were you able to put the screws in the sides of the nose section???
I had to modify a different way to attach the nose section. I don't think a 4 year old could get his hands in there to put the screws in.
Reguardless...... Looks great

Hoss

Hoss, all my jets have had all the required hardware. Usually i have lots of extra stuff
Mine is very easy to reach that inside bolt, try one of those long needle like doctor tools, it may help.

Mario i have been thinking of going down to a smaller turbine but the 140/170/180 are all the same diameter so once i see weights i can go from there. Hey what is your dry weight with your stores on it.

Looks like I am going to need to be very picky about the weight on my equipment. I dont like adding pilots so that will save some weight, and I will lose over a pound converting the gear to electric(just a guess thats what the f-16 lost) I am doing SBus on it so the wire weight will be much less as well.
Did you use all four tanks? the main tanks are huge!!!

Yes fender my jet is heavy and came out tail heavy that my pilot help me to add nose weight plus I have to ad 16oz more to balance the plane , the turbine battery and electronic are just under the engines , I will save some weight installing the engine battery in the nose but I don't like those long wire , I like to keep battery and ecu very close , also try to install RX battery in the nose section and will help you a lot
