Status: offline 		Put something like chalk dust of an appropriate colour liberally on top of the body posts, then carefully lower the body onto the posts int he position you want it. Make sure all 4 points touch. Now lift the body and you should have chalk marks where you need to drill. Make a dimple with something sharp but don't go all the way through. Use a caliper to check the distance of each dimple you made from various features on the body, such as the windscreen or hood louvres, or whatever, just as a secondary check that it's not going to be sideways.

There are also products available specifically for this, but I don't think I'd ever buy them when you can use the method above...

Status: offline 		put lipstick on the top of each body post and carefully set the body down on the post and use the lipstick to mark the posts holes.

Status: offline 		Sure man. Not a problem. I just got some neodymium cup magnets. For the rear i made a bracket that bolted to the wing to mount them to and on the front i ended up mounting them directly to the body. On the car side for the rear i turned the body posts upside down and mounted them to it and used the shock mounts for the ones on the front. Mounting options are really limited to how the car/truck is set up but, where there is a will there is a way. Also stuck some velcro (soft side) for cushion on one side of the magnets to help keep them shattering when they "connect." My only concern is these type magnets loose there magnetic field at temps above 175 though it should not get that hot but, they have some capable of like 500 degrees. Actually really nice. You can literally throw the body on it and go. Also, with the right magnets and properly installed the body will sit in the same place every time. The car is N4-Tec. See about uploading some pics tomorrow.

Status: offline 		I got the magnets from Applied Magnets (www.magnet4less.com, think they were M4 male thread 3/4 in.). Some of the hardware i had laying around, picked up the magnet mounting hardware at Ace hardware, and Lowe's carries the metal strips (similar to the Meccano and that other building kit back in the day) that I used for the brackets.
