Hi. So i am at the flying field. And a guy has a Trex 450 and has aircraft grade bolts on his heli. I ask where he got them. He had them for many years and does not know where he got them. They are harden hex bolts.
Does anyone know where to buy aircraft grade bolts? Small enough to use in a 450 heli. He says the hex head never strip out.
    Thanks TOM

Buy a better Allen wrench. Most of the times it is the tool that is bad than the bolts.
Also a very small size difference is too critical in this small sized bolts. An Allen wrench that has a play inside the bolt will strip itself if it is not a good quality one or it will strip the bolt and that`s a rule.
Now if you have a good quality and proper sized Allen wrench then you can buy better bolts if there is problem to them.

I understand about using the right size tool and the use of a dremal tool. The bolts he had were a harder grade and the hex socket was deeper. He got them back in the day when he was on a national flying team. We have many seasoned heli flyers in our club and we all would like to find a place to get better bolts. I am looking for a company that sells the better bolts.
    Thanks Tom

    @ Tom

McMaster-Carr has a great selection of m2 and m3 fasteners
    if you have access .
Go to McMaster-Carr web site and check them out. I get all of
    my fasteners through them.
