It was in "New Items" section of Model Airplane News April 1973 so it is a rather old design.
They write there "Complete Pattern or Open Pylon kit" so it was also meant as a suitable plane for Pylon racing it seems (not sure in what class - "Open"?).

Status: offline 		Yes I had one back in the mid 70's, made it a trike gear,flew great with a 45 on it . foam wing and stab wrapped in card board of some kind, but it worked ok Bob.

Status: offline 		"Open"  pylon was just that, it was open to most anything you wanted to fly.    Formular I,  and Quarter Midget  both had to be at least a stand off scale of a real   pylon racer.       A lot of new guys got their start in open just to get a taste of flying around the pylons.   It was a fun event and a lot of crazy flying.     Yahoo..

Status: offline 		Flew 1 for years. Loved it. Rossi 40 (piped and muffled), 2 gear retracts. Have found 2 more and will fly again, when I get time to build. It was fast. Fuse very light, wing (and stab) balsa covered and quite heavy.
