Status: offline 		There is a K&S Pacer airboat for sale at my local hobby shop for $200.  It looks like its in great condition.  I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with these and if they are any good.  I know they have not been produced for a number of years.  Any info would be great.

I'd say it will give you a thirst to go faster, sharper, better.  Which will start you down the upgrade path. 

Why not build something?  They're not that hard to master the basics, and you can spend years refining them     You could build a fair bit of boat with $200, and a bit of spare time

if you are already in the hobby, you can use a heap of gear that you already have.....

Status: offline 		the only problem with the pacer boats is no parts to fix things (does it still have the belt drive)  can be converted  without belt drive.
they are sharp looking boats

Status: offline 		Yeh, it still has the belt drive, but it looks very sturdy to me.  Everything is bone stock and in great condition.  The guy says it hits about 20-25 mph.  It is actually pretty rare to run across one of these come to think of it.  It is probably one of the only ones left in such good condition.

I didn't buy it.  It is at Legend RC and Hobbies in Jupiter.  You can pick it up.  Just don't any mods on it!  I would hate to see such a rare boat be modded.
