Status: offline 		Tower carries Pheonix Models , my sonic is a little jewel. I have a Saito 40 on my Sonic ready for testing, I wonder if the 52FS would be a good match? The Sonic compares to the Great Planes Escapade is size.

Status: offline 		It's an ARF, typically priced around $110. Like someone said, Phoenix Models are sold by Tower and other online shops. The Funstar is very lightly built, and if you do get it, my recommendation is to add thin ply doublers inside the fuselage, from LE to TE of the wing, bulkhead to bulkhead. The fuselage has a very small cross-section over the wing and that just looked like the weak point in the fuse to me. Other than that, the plane flies terrific, landing like a feather, able to fly a wide speed range, handling aerobatics with ease, and hover too. I like it as my club funfly plane. Jon

Status: offline 		It's an ARF by Pheonix. Tower sells them. Yep, very nice photo and good looking plane. Did you have to add any weight to the nose? I thought a 70FS would be about right?

Status: offline 		i have one on a great planes rapture...... it is a very heavy plane (6 pounds or so because of rebuilds), it is underpowered (vertically) but with a mas 11x7 prop it moves as fast as it use to with a .46 engine.....just doesnt have unlimited vertical

that engine would be perfect for a th fun 51, uproar/dazzler, or any of the other planes you talked about......
i love the 20+ min runtime you get with a mag 52 on an 8oz tank at full throttle

Status: offline 		With the Irvine 25 on the Sonic it needed about 1 oz to balance. It is wearing a Saito 40 at the moment and hasnt been balanced yet but I bet the Saito is not much heavier.

Status: offline 		My Sonic is a low wing and I am really beginning to like it. Once I got the initial setup sorted out (my fault) it flies dreamy. And it doesnt have the annoying tail wag of the Epade. I would trust the Sonic to handle more speed than the Epade which is famous for chucking its tail surfaces at high speeds. I fluttered my Epade once with an Irvine 53 and have since slowed it (not by much but a little) by installing an OS46SF.

Status: offline 		I know where you can find a 4*40 ARF in yellow or red.  These are getting very hard to find now.   I'm putting the 52 on a Eflite T-34 PTS, ripped the electric motor out and going glow power.  Hearing the plane is half the fun of flying the plane.

If the 4* flies anywhere near as good as it does in the SIM, and from what I heard it does, it will make one sweet flying plane.

Status: offline 		I have the magnum.52 FS in the Slow Poke and it is a great match. I did need to add a couple OB ounces of weight to the nose. The SP is fun. It can be flown so slowly u can walk beside it. It also does nice loops. Rolls are tough to do though.

Status: offline 		In the photo the Sonic is wearing an Irvine 25 which flew it well but not like the Saito 40, with no weight penalty ! I didnt even touch the balance after the swap.

Status: offline 		My Magnum 52 FS pulls the GP Escapade around just fine. I have about an hour of flight time on mine right now and it seems a good fit.
Epades are a good plane for the price $$.

Here is another vote for the Slow Poke and the Four Star 40. The Sig Midstar 40 is good too (kit only).

I have had an OS 52 Surpass in all of these and it is very similar to the Magnum/ASP 52 FS.

I still have an ARF Slow poke but it now has an OS 62V and my Four Star 40 now has a Saito 62 but there is not that much difference between the 52 size engines and the 62 size.

I have a 61 ASP four stroke flying a huge Telemaster Senior and it is not at all underpowered.

Not to be a total wizeazz, but your two-stroke .46 must be a total washout in power. There's no way that a .52 four-stroke is going to hang with any brand of .46 two-stroke. That is what you meant - right?
