I am having a problem charging brand new Nimh battery packs to full capacity with the Hitec X4. They come up 800mAh short. What should I set the parameters at for 2700mA 6V and 4.8V battery packs with AA cells?
Thanks
Louden Kleer

Which parameters are you interested in or which ones are adjustable? You , of course already have the capacity and cell count. The voltage drop can be default (or 5 mv per cell)

Thanks for the reply. the parameters I'm interested in are:

NiMH charge (man or auto?)
NiMH charge current ?.?A
NiMH discharge ?.?A ?.?V
Capacity cutoff on or off? ?mAH
NiMH Sensitivity D.Peak ?mV/cell

I"m using 2700mA 4.8V (4 AA cell) and 6.00V (5 AA cell) packs.

Thanks again

Do you have the manual for the charger?

Charge at C/10 and discharge at C for NiMH packs.

Keep reading the manual, keep reading the blogs, and search the internet - then confirm everything through personal experience.  I think I have ruined two NiMH packs trying to learn the correct settings for the X4 and any battery chemistry.  Good luck.    Mike.

You can use manual or auto , but if using manual then set the rate to anything between about 200-500 ma

If you will discharge then the rate can be anything up to around 2 amps with a cutoff range of .8 volts per cell (at 2 amp current) to 1.1 volts per cell (at very low current)

capacity cut-off can be set to anything higher than 2700 mah at fast rates and 4000 mah for using c/10 rate.

delta peak can be set to 3-5 mv per cell.
