The reality is that I told PJH to just use the Trash Can Flyer: flight proven and would have worked just fine. But it met a well known demise.....

This is obviously someone who like to watch slow motion car wrecks and natural disaster movies. I'm sorry Lonnie, this time there will only be a white streak and the deafening roar of the pulsejet. No tragedy here this time.... except for Mark having to open up his wallet. I think he would consider that a tragedy.

That would indeed be a tragedy. Happily, PJH past performance indicates that I have not a thing to worry about! I do not see that situation changing.

The field? Well, that is a VERY good question. The last attempt was at Lumberton's airport. We used to fly jets there all the time. No idea if it is still available.

PJ Harry, where do you wish to fly? Either way Lonnie, it is gonna be a LONG time till he is ready! He has less than one revolution of the Earth around our home star.

HA!

(oh my!)

This thread should be turned into a reality TV series.

Starring......Pulsejet Harry

Also Starring...WoketMan

with cameo appearances by Bruce Tharpe as himself....

It'd be bigger than Operation Repo.

Next season: Woj!

Too much liability. Gas, flames, loud noise and boom. It would cost too much to insure bruce's good looks.

I note that Harry judiciously left out ANY mention of "flight"! He has subliminally already admitted defeat!!! PJHarry, I will once again offer you a buy-out opportunity, here publically. Sadly, I must inform you that the amount has risen: $100.00!

Be smart, young aspiring PJ Master, your trackrecord screams "take it, TAKE IT!!!!!"

Ok team. I went on a top secret mission yesterday to pick the Delta Vortex up in Ft Worth from Damon. I didn't sleep well Thursday Night as my son insisted on sleeping with his feet in my face. So when I decided on Friday to drive to TX to pick up the airframe I enlisted the help of my brother-in-law. This seemed like sound logic at the time due to the 1100 miles round trip. However, I forgot one important detail; he has IBS. Yes Irratable Bowel Syndrome! This made the trip a bit dicey as we had to carefully time food intake with gassing up - no pun intended. This worked well...... until 11pm at the TX border. My man felt an irresistible urge that could no be contained. I gave him a role of paper towels and a bat and he disappeared into the woods illuminating his way via IPhone. A few tense minutes later (didn't know if bears like this sort of thing) and he reappeared rather invigorated. I didn't tell woketman about this sortie because I half expected him to contact Eddie to throw a spike strip on I-10 while I passed through Baton Rouge! Well, the DV is safe in its hanger in New Orleans. Woketman, tremble in fear![image][/image]

No image showed up. I truthfully hope that your PulseJet flight attempts are more successful than your photo posting! HA!

What in the heck did he need a "roll of paper towels and a bat" for? You PJ guys need to pry something out? Hmmmmm. Buy-out just rose to $110.00!!!!

Is this a flight, or a Porta-John sortie?

Eddie, I fear that there shall be no flying associated with this bet/fiasco (as in all of the previous ones). Therefore, by default, this ia a Porta-John sortie! Let the crappin' begin!!!!

Well, you can go into the woods to do your business with paper towels or use a leaf. I choose paper towels. And should you encounter something big and scary, you can use a leaf or a bat. I choose bat.

Bruce, I need to put a cowl of some sort o the front of the DV. I read that kits from about 10 years ago included a cowl that you could trim. Do you know where I could find this item?

Looks like a Hanger Queen to me! And what's up the Gay Pride Rainbow Monokote scheme. Harry, you gettin' a bit sweet? Just saying, nothin' wrong with that......

Harry, we can easily fab some fairy, oops, I meant fairing for the front. Glad the Thais-man had no issues with his nocternal bowel movement. Next time take a Type II phaser, not a bat.

Buy is still at $110.00, should you suddenly wise up!

PS. I just realized that if it never goes beyond the display-case state.... IT DOES NOT NEED A FAIRING!!!! A fairing is only needed for flight!

Ha!!!!

This reminds me of Ali vs Frazier. I'm Ali playing rope a dope with Woketman. He keeps throwing those weak jabs. In the end we know how this turns out; the dope on his backside!

Certainly none of my business but I'm thinking that a little more thrash can picking may have turned up a German V-1. The pulse jet would be a scale propulsion system. You could cram a Vidalia onion in for the nose cone, put a little container of dipping sauce behind it for balance if it really matters and blast off on scale flight. Up and down. When it hits the ground and blows up you have a scale flight and a done onion with sauce at the same time. KISS, LOL.

Good luck and I hope you survive,

Bill

So I checked the servos and control surfaces out yesterday. Everything looked good. I will be looking for an engine to mount to the DV to check the flight characteristics out. I'm looking to get the first piston flight in by the end of July.

Don´t waste your time puting a engine to check anything... the flight characteristics and trim will be completely different anyway. Go ahead with the pulsejet and prove they are wrong.

Or better yet, why not putting a small turbine on it instead?

Tough economic times, Mark. I spent all of my money on driving to Dallas/Ft Worth for the DV.
