Here is my "sport scale" mod. I don't know how it would work on the arf though.

That's looks pretty good. I believe the arf is the same as the kit as far as mounting goes. I might just do alittle more modifying to mine as well. ( But after I get the rest of the thing put together first) .

Hi Galen

Got the retracts in today. I will be going in for a little back surgery tomorrow so I will have some time to ponder the problem. I am quite sure I will be able to come up with some sort of mechanical door closure while lying in bed the next couple of days. I have put Chris on alert to come up with a laser cut package if needed < grin >

Wish I had seen it before I ordered the Robart unit. Might be putting the Robart up for sale, I'll have to see what the Earl Aune one looks like, and how it will hold up in the long run.

Hi Dean, I watched one fly last night and it had elevator flutter and it wasn't going that fast. I checked all the linkage and it has to be the torque rods flexing so beware.

I posted this pic on the other thread about this ARF. I figured i might as well post it here also. This is the retractable tailwheel available from Earl Aune.

Posted that in the other thread, forgot to post it here earlaune@comcast.net. He replies to e-mails quickly, and is very helpful. A little expensive but so is everything nowadays.

I've just ordered one from Tower, and looking for power source for mine. I like to fly warbirds fast and furious.
How much dead weight are you guys adding to the DLE 55 to balance?
Other options are the G62 vs DA 60, depending on the nose weight issue.
Anyone tried going bigger and able to fit in the cowl? This seems a bit smaller than the ESM version.

I emailed Robart on electric retracts for Corsair, to find out when they would come off back order, NO REPLY. Does anyone have any info? Tower just moved date again to end of August. Really want to try out these gears.
Thanks, Rick
