Hi i have a nikko 1:14 scale monster truck rc. I have managed to update the electronic, new esc, receiver and transmitter.
I am trying to modify the steering, as when i got the rc, i took the stock servo out. The stock servo is slightly bigger than the updated servo. The fittings of the stock motor, i took apart and didnt realise at first how it was put together.

I decided to put a updated servo in and make my own linkages and it stears ok, not 100%. The actual servo is not even fixed properly.
Is there a way to actually get the steering mechanism working or even buying a kit, i heard about servo savers but i dont really know which ones to get.

Any help much appreciated, here is a video link.

I looked at your video and it appears you are on the right track. To make your steering function it looks like you need to flip your servo around that way the output is further away from the tie rods. Then you can use you your stock servo arm and stack it on top so the throw is correct, or buy an after market that has a farther throw. The circular arm you are using will never get the correct steering throw so you must swap out the arms.

Just remember, the tie rods need to be level so if you either switch arms or stack on your factory arm be sure to move the servo up or down to make them level. This will make a major impact on how the truck steers
