no, the top stand offs are 80mm apart vs 70mm apart on the dle30, bottom mounts are still 70mm apart and 54mm distance height. Have a look at the drawings, it shows it all.

How does it compare to a DLE 30? Does it like more revs? What prop is optimal for this engine?

According to a couple of guys on another site, TBM was taking "pre-orders" for less than 300 a week ago. My bet is they'll drop to that again once the supply line has a chance to fill a bit?

id start off with a 19x10 a 19x8 works well on a dle -30 or a vess 19 b or c

The guys in the scale racing area - see scale racing under the pylon racing Forum here on rcu - are starting a class to race the TWM 80 inch mustangs using this general size engine - so you might want to take a look at what they are doing. I just got mine today. I got it mounted on my KMP Bearcat. A Saito 180 was adequate, but not impressive, so I shelved the airplane until something better came along. It did! This is the first one out of ValleyView RC's door. I paid full retail for it, so I can be honest about my impressions and experience. So far, I like what I see. Fit and finish is nice, as I've come to expect from DLE. A very welcome feature is that the ignition module is rated for 4.8-8.4V. No more regulators for the ignition. The throttle arm on the carb is of a proper length, not requiring extension or replacement. The plug boot is angled to match the angle of the plug. The outlet stacks on the muffler don't seem to have a lot of brazing on them, so we'll have to keep an eye out for cracking. I can't get the damned photos to upload. I'll keep trying, guys.

Engine looks very nice! About the only problem I can see right off is that the rear muffler might heat soak the carb after sitting for a bit after a run ... making restarts more difficult. But time will tell for sure.

if you guys worry about heat send the muffler out to a engine header shop that will ceramic coat the muffler. You can get different colors and might gain 100 rpm or so.

Looks like there is a sleeve in the casting for a manual choke rod out the front. If that is the case then DLE sure was listening. [:D]

When folks do prop tests I'd be interested to know how it manages with a big low pitch prop - will it handle a 20x8, 20x6 or even bigger? For WWI 1/4 scale....

Would like any review info on this eng. Let us know if you come across one. Looks very nice but a little concerned about the exhaust right below the carb.
