All I can say is all you suck (not just Casey).  I had the most crappy racing I had in a long time.  I will come back and win this again just like last year.  Kimo, you better get some practice because I am on a mission now.  As far as the two strokes, skip a beat motor is going to kick your butt.   But overall, special thanks to everyone that help me get my planes flying again and great job on the race Kimo, it was a fun weekend with all my friend.

I assume you will be back here in October for the unlimited race?    Lets see how your skip a beat stands up when there arent any breakouts!  Heck I'll even make room at the house for Jake and Casey so I can beat them too!   hahahaha

How sad. I am in second place in total points and have yet to podium. Man, my luck sucks!

Jake,

Keep your eye on the big prize.  What matters most is that "Champion" plaque at the end of the year.  That gives you the ultimate bragging rights (espeicially against Shawn, JR, and Casey).  Keep being consistent and it will all work out for the best, anyway!

You might want to be kicked so maybe your plane will go faster.

Remember Jake, you are a good pilot and have a fast airplane now, if you bring the salsa next time then you should have better luck.  Keep up the good work and listen to Ollie.  Just bring the SALSA!!!

Don't worry the salsa will be there in September. I appreciate all the pointers out there. I will try to give Kimo a run for his money.

Was Kimo even racing?  I knew he was sport flying. I just assumed he was the camera airplane just like the Red Bull guys do. You know footage of the race from above. Speaking of cameras, anyone going to post some pictures. Would like to see a couple of Mark flying around with 1/2 a stab. Or maybe one of Trixie throwing her hard hat ala Jimmy   LOL

Those are some nice pics, but I think T-Gun got some nice video and pics too. There was a lot of carnage that day and there are more than a few that are licking their wounds and making repairs in order to be ready for September. Here are some pics of the repair work on mine since I ran out of fuel after the last heat. Since I ran out of fuel twice I went ahead and placed a 20oz tank in there so that problem is solved. Airborne Models is waiting on getting more Tempest cowlings, but should be here by the end of the month. The real treat will be seeing Casey race a Zero in the race coming up. Need to post some pics of that plane Leadfoot.

BTW. Not only are planes in recovery mode but so are the pilots. Looks like JR may need to sleep off the hangover from this race for a couple of weeks.

Hi Babe,

It is a separate stand-alone racing event that follows the same general SAM Racing rules (such as Pilot Qualifications, Model Aircraft Requirements, Engine/Wing Area charts, safety and flightline procedures, etc.)

Two important differences are:
  1. Breakout is Silver class time only (thus the name "Two-Minute Tango"); and why Roy stated it is essentially an "all Silver class" racing event.  (But, honestly I am unsure if the breakout is still 2:00 minutes flat, or if it has been changed to 1 minute and 55 seconds.)
  2. It is an elimination-style racing event.  Don't quote me on it, but I believe that after two rounds of racing, the lowest scoring pilots begin to get eliminated.  Eliminations continue, until the final round has only the highest scoring pilots on the day, left.  At that point, it is a "Trophy Dash." The trophy dash first place finisher wins 1st on the whole day; and so on . . .

Nice picture Jake.  Can you say "Pay Back".   lol   All I am going to say is look out because I am coming through the pack on the Trashman Classic and taking first with a hangover or no hangover.  And by the way, dont forget the salsa this time.
