What can I say, thanks to all of you for making our 8th Capitol Jets event such a wonderful sucess!

The weather held out for the event until about 14:30 Sunday, by then most guys were fried due to the hot three days of 90 degree temps.

Karen and I thank each and every one of the pilots and their family members for joining us at South Albany airport.
I personally thank you again for your patience during our noon time activity interface with the community.

For now I will leave you with a commitment from me... Should I include any form of mid-day break from here on out, I will ensure
that I add another 2-3 hours on the back side of your daily flying. This should allow us to enjoy the beutiful late day flying that we are
capable of at this great site!

Take care for now, see you all at the next one.

Status: offline 		Frank, all the Thanks goes to Karen and you for the organization of this event and to your support staff for their excellent performance. Yes it was hot but the flying conditions were excellent. I went home on a high after many successful flights with only a scuffed chin on my R54, That nose gear would fold at the slightest provocation. Must be something in the runway surface sending up bad vibs. My personal thanks to Mike and Jeff for their assistance all weekend and Karen A, you get an A+ for your Strawberry Margaritas.

Many thanks to you and your great crew for another fantastic Jet event. In spite of the heat everyone of us had a great time and we all anxiously await the release of the dates for Capitol Jets IX so we can mark our calendars.

A very special thanks to you, Karen and Art Arro for puttting on a truly awesome jet event! It was very apparent to all of the pilots that you guys put allot of thought, organization and hard work into this event. The venue is spectacular for model jet aircraft operation and your team's hospitality was even better!! Your event gets my highest recommendation and we will be back again next year for sure.

Karen and I had great time. The after hours activities are the best! Your idea to tack on several hours flying to the end of the day is brilliant. Flying between 5 to 7 is the best light, just like having a lamp on the plane. Also our congrats to you and your team for getting the the Air Cadets and the kids on buddy box. Our hats off.

Status: offline 		Hey Frank, Karen, and everyone who attended Capitol Jets 2012 - I know Jorge is not an early riser, but you will not be surprised that we were the last ones off the field on Sunday night. A freakish thunderstorm practically blew us back to Jersey. Vince came back and gave us a hand while he rescued his ATV from the mud. Once we dried out I felt MUCH better (although some of Karen's artichoke dip and a strawberry margharita would have taken the edge off the chill) So I finished the edit of our photos of your planes from the event. The collection includes shots of jets and some cameos of pilots. You can see them at escaviation.photoshelter.com. I really enjoyed the DownandLocked competition - it made for some good action photos as you will see.  Hope to see you all at Maine and a big thank you to Karen and Frank! They consistently run a show that pleases everybody. Not an easy thing to do! And thanks to all the great RC pilots for letting Jorge and me hog the flight line to get our shots. (Notice how most of the photos have AFTERNOON light on them. ha!) This shot of Rullie's Messerschmidt looks great in Black and White!
