Status: offline 		I've tried the cheap $15 Hobby King and other motors from local sources in my TH Slick and Crack Pitts. They work ok, but are not efficient and use more energy from the batteries. I get short flights. In frustration, I bought a TH 1450KV motor for $29 and put it on my Pitts. What a difference! Much more power, better throttle response and longer flights. You can get away from the cheapies, but you won't be satisfied.

Ditto, there is no comparison between the TH recommended set up and anything else, you will not be happy with anything else...trust me..

Word!! There is no reason if you are going to be having to buy new not to get the recomended power package they sell. Are you building the regular CY or the Lite version? The light version is awesome with the digital servos!!!
