Dear all,

I have just got my new SM A-4 plane, custom made in IAF colors.
I have made documentation of the No. 102 plane from 102 Squadron, the last A-4 squadron in Israel.
This plane is the "mascot" of the squadron, and this is why I coppied it.

I sent all the pics to SM and contacted John about it, and the journey began.
The plane came carefully wrapped, great details and painting job.
Few of the painting details were upside down, but nothing serious. I can fix it myself.

And the gear - well the gear is the whole thing. Masterpiece.Works flawlessly, beatifull engineering.
I assembled tha plane just to see how it looks, and my daughter loves it already.

I will begin the build in few days, and post it all here as I go along.

Few details:
P140 RX for power
Savox servos
Futaba 18MZ for control
LIFE battery packs
Lighting system from airpower
EV-5U Pro from airpower for air control
Booma switches

More to come.
Few pics to begin with.

Cheers,
Ziv

Very nice Ziv. Maybe you can fly it one day if your little one let's go of it.

Hi Ziv,
It's great to see your beautiful new bird.
When the maiden will take place?
I'm in Israel for the next two weeks, after that, back home...

Hey,

Elevators are done.
I decided to place a stabdard size servo rather than the midi size. Will use a Savox 1256TG.
I opened tha elevator to allow the larger servo to fit in.
The picture shows the before and after adjustment.

I made some epoxyglass elevator horns to replace the plastic ones supplied with the kit.
All in place, perfect geometry.

On to the wings.

Cheers,
Ziv

Hi;

Love the plane. Good choice.
I don't have the funds yet but that is the best plane I've seen from SM.
Please keep up with the pics. We are all looking forward to them.
Good luck for the first flight. Take it easy.
Please make a video of it.

All the best

I'm still painting his TamJet A-4 and SM MIG 29

I am waiting for some upgrades for the gear doors as the original geometry is not good enough.
On a short vacation now... Will resume the build in few days.

Cheers
Ziv.
