My new ERBE needs some new shoes. I run mostly off road bashing style on 6S with 18/54 gearing. Looking for a hard compound tire. Not finding very many choices. Any of you guys running a hard compound tire? I don't care what name brand, as long as they are a hard compound.

I just ordered the Trenchers for my slash, I hear they make a big difference from the stock tires I currently have.

Nice info guys. However, Im looking for a tire that is close to the original in size. I think the badlands by proline are the closest. Going to use the stock traxxas rims and stick these tires on them. Only problem is I'm not sure of the compound, tower says xtr and proline says m2. Any of you guys run those or do you know what compound?

They're pretty hard compound. But soft enough to grip like heck LOL

Here's a pic of mine with Badlands

A buddy of mine has the PL 3.8 Trenchers mounted on the Desperado rims and they are almost identical to stock size, but look a hell of a lot cooler!

Not sure how hard of a compound you're looking for.

I run the Trencher X on Desperados, and they are pretty solid tires.  They balloon like any other RC tire, but the grip on all terrain is pretty solid.  On road performance is not too bad.

They look good. I ad the trenchers on my rustler vxl a while back and mounted them on the stock wheels. They are a good tire. For my erevo I'm looking more for the stock size that they come with. I like the balance between speed and off road. The stock talons are good, just too soft for my liking, espically on 6s. Thats why I'm leaning on the badlands 3.8 and just mount them to the stock wheel.

badlands are fantastic! They suffer a little on road, decent grip but accelerated wear. Off road I absolutely love them. On groomed grass you can almost cut lines down to the dirt with them. Think of them as super fast power rakes! On they are great, I feel they have a great amount of traction while still allowing you to kick it around if you want to.
Can't recommend badlands enough.
