Are replacement blades sold individually? If yes, how much?

I just got one, they are drilling out for my ZDZ 50 for $5, can't beat that. This setup is good up to about a 60cc engine so it might work for my G-62 as well.

I did get a replacement blade, last one they had but more are coming.  They are also coming out with a smaller unit in the future for like 30 cc units according to the gent on the order line. Sounds like the same hub but with smaller blades. If this goes well they might also go larger, I'm hoping they do.

Thanks for this post, made my day to be able to put this one my F4u!

Whit

I was in the market for a 3 blade prop so i thought i would try these. Most of the 3 blade props are made for the sport market with pointed blades. Biela and xoar are priced about the same as this new prop and they dont have a scale looking hub with the spinner included.

I dont exactly remember, but i thought i picked up somewhere on the internet that replacement blades were around $22 each.

This should be a great prop for somebody running something like a DLE55 or a G62 on their warbird.

If your going to stuff a G-62 into a Topflite model or ESM Corsair, I agree, but if you have a Ziroli, then I disagree as this prop will be too small and look out of place. For the Ziroli warbirds you will want a 22" prop.

The standard diameter prop on the full size R2800 is 12' 7"  (At least on the A-26 invader)  That's 151".  At 1/7 scale you get about 21.6 inches.  I think that is pretty darn close, only 3/4 shorter per blade.  Good for me anyway!

The ESM Corsair is 1/5.5 and the prop in question is 20 inches, thats a big difference, but its your eyes only.

Yup!  Different scale.  I looked up the prop size for the corsair on the internet: 13' 4"  If my calculations are correct that makes a scale prop at about 29".

Am I the only one who thinks the hub looks way too big in proportion to the blades?

No info on what it weighs?

H9 Corsair, just about the correct size. Bit chubby though.

Will those dumb "carbon fiber" markings come off.

you guys are ridiculously critical... by all means, please free to go buy a $400 set of solo props/hub/adaptor for your $300 Top flight 1/5th ARFs.

Given the current options for props/hubs that look remotely "scale," I think this is a great option for a ton of modelers.

I know compromises have to be made when scaling down full scale planes into models.
If a real Hamilton prop was exactly scaled down the hub would structurally be too small and the blades too thin. It would probably self destruct when wound up.
I think this prop will be popular with the 80 something inch warbirds and I am looking forward to the day I see a couple on the front of a 118" ziroli B-25

WD No i dont care either. I think it looks great. I would love to put something like this on my 74" ESM Corsair. Just dont know if I could turn it with any engine that would fit that plane.

You are right, the prop is rated for 45-60cc engines which is a bit much for the 74" ESM corsair.
Maybe the 45cc RCGF would work? The prop would look scale and it would have loads of power.

Wow guys I forgot about this post.

Well Update;

I have been useing this prop at 10 pich on a DLE55RA in my 74in ESM Corsair with great results.

Great power, and speed, and I can even get a little rip sound at WOT in a dive.

Im getting around 7200rpms at 10 pich,

I have put this prop on a ZDZ80 and got 6300rpms at 14pich!

And if you look on there web site there useing it on a DLE100 in there 50cc ESM Corsair.

I see they just came out with a smaller blade set up for DLE 30 motors looks great!

Mike

One of the best parts of this prop is you can actuly see the hub from the side when you do fly bys and it look so good.
