yelp higher than 6 but less than 8k I will get the aggressor Alaska scheme on mine just like my 1/6. My FEJ f-16 flies like a tame pattern plane, plus the f-16 is my favorite jet of all time. The only thing I require is the ability to put bottom/wing tanks on with full ordinance. Im a tough customer to make happy but then again I just like things done right.

EagleJC,

What turbines are you recommending for this 60LB thrust? BF3000

ALSO any chance the 1:5.5 will have the light kit option?

For F16 1/4.6 scale, 20kg (44bl) would be perfect for the model. You do not need 60lb engine to fly this one.

Yes, F16 1/5.5 light system is available now. I have one here is with light installed too.

Thanks
James

Ok, but if you are sure you want to drop $7k I would not paint it in Arctic scheme, or any other USAF scheme because this was made after a foreign viper.
On the other hand, it would make a kick ass non American falcon.

But if you feel like you need to make this a US Viper, there were some units that flew the long fin version, just not very flashy.

Falconwing im a attack helicopter pilot that loves aviation and I will admit I do understand your point but until someone in america makes one not much I can do. Lol im for all american but after contacting every air national guard squadron in america about switching over and only being taken serious by 1 viper squadron and 1 a-10 squadron I no longer care and this is just a hobby for me so let's keep it fun, make friends, and promote the hobby. I have saved lives and kill bad guys for a living so fly Army and have fun enjoying the american dream! I am proud to support it and buy american when u can.

Yes but you're Tour missing my point. The actual model, not the manufacturer, is the export version F-16. Main difference is the extended fin base, which is either ECM or a parachute housing. The Falcons flown by the US don't have it. On the other hand, this would make a super nice dutch or even Israeli model.

Regarding the other issue, I'm with you 100% and gave up on waiting for US made models a long time ago. Life's too short and I probably would not be able to afford it anyway. I'd rather buy a foreign kit and make it work ( which is what modeling is all about) than wait for a model that doesn't exist!!

Mine ships next week... My first Fly Eagle model so I am not sure what to expect. To say I have not been the biggest FEJ fan in the past would be an understatement, and I have to admit that I never thought I would find myself owning one of their products. Yet, what I saw at Kentucky jets a few weeks ago did surprise me somewhat! So much so that I find myself awaiting arrival of my new F16 rather quite eagerly to say the least.
I was undecided about the scheme. First off I wanted the original demonstrator red white and blue. Then I decided to go and order the black and white arctic camo. Then I got to thinking how nice the dutch schemed F-16 that Pablo flew at KJets looked... Then finally I decided to go with the blue/ grey aggressor scheme that I saw at Kentucky. Typical PIA customer I am James was very accommodating to my requests and so far has been a pleasure to deal with. I will post my feedback of the kit when to arrives. Doubt I will get time to do a build thread, as I want to get this one built ASAP, but I will be sure to post some info as I go.... Especially when it comes to the fun part ( Flying.. before any of you sicko's say the building part is the fun part )

Regards Al

That depends on who he sells it to. : )

Ali is merely a way station on the way to a Jet's real home. He get's them housebroken and properly trained before delivery to their new family.

You can get the version without the chute mode my F-16 now doesnt have the extended ECM/Chute design. I really wish you could get stuff like this state side, shipping would be cheaper and many other reason. The fact is our country cost of living is so high its impossible to get stuff at a good price in this type of application.

I would like to keep hold of them more often.. but people keep wanting to buy them ( In fact, just recently I have taken to not selling the flying fleet, and offering to have models built for perspective clients instead) .
Also, all these new cool toys keep coming out , and there are only so many toys that can be maintained and played with at any one time. It has killed me to do it, but I have had to put some models up for sale again just recently as the workshops were starting to overflow. What with JET POWER coming up fast, I get the feeling that new toys will be heading my way sooner rather than later.

Did anyone get thier 1/5.5 Scale F-16 flying reliably? At last take, even Oliver wasn't flying his.

Now FEJ has a bigger one? And Ali, you said you saw it fly? And well?

It is still TBD if these jet can fly for more than 20-30 flights. That's right at the time when you are getting used to them and then stabs flutter off, vertical stabs disentigrate, etc...

[EDIT] Oops, Oliver just got back to me, like right now!

Seems like the 1/5.5 f-16 he was working on did eventually fly after some inspections and modifications to the stab mechanism. Even with Pivot point not quite at the appropriate MAC.

Ali, just make sure you dont place Sidewinders on AMRAAM rails, as in your picture.
That thing is crying for AIM120's on the tips.
