Here's another engine option; It may be overkill but it fits. Its a Zenoha 62 with a Mick Reeves redrive.1:75 ratio .This will turn up to a 28-30" 2 blade prop so a scale 3 blade prop would be possible maybe? Also is it too heavy at over 7lbs?...I plan on putting this into my GTM 1/3 Fokker D7 which I'm doing right now but I just wanted to check out how it fits in the T/F FW 190

Why throttle down, will it make a difference if the prop has already stopped from the broken belt? I know it's a natural responce to this but..

Well, anyway. I'm mounting my DLE55RA in this as after Black friday, my funds wouldn't allow another engine purchase and I already have several of these for what was to be later builds. I should get it in today. Then I can finish the cowl and get this ready for glass.

Note as much damage as that lose belt whipping around inside that cowl tearing everything up

Actually the belt is for AC! The G62 would be a great engine without the belt drive.

More progress. I still need to mod the cowl to be correct with the gun hood. I'm a little concerned about the cooling with those fake exhaust installed. I'm considering just opening them up if possible.

Which one..lol No seriously.. I've yet to be close enough to one to see under the cowl. There was one here a few years or so back but I found out about it after the fact.. Possibly a good thing.

I agree, after looking at all these options I'll probabily go with a well broken in DA 50 with a stock muffler...or the G62

IF the belt did break (unlikely) It wouldn't flap around any at all.

Gear drives ussually don't work well in heavy metals, but if this is a 1.75, it would work better than most 2.5.

Yes and if you make it mad its a hand full!

About 2 years ago i visited a museum out side of Berlin. They had a good ol BMW 801 out on the floor for display. If you ever get a chance its an amazing place. Its an easy train ride then just hop on the bus.
