Good looking bird. I was about to push the button on the ESM 82 inch but then saw how much the shipping was. That plane would be over 700.00 bucks. I can't afford this. I am going to have to go to the 70 inch birds. BUt I have more gas engines than 4 strokes. What a dilemma!

while we are waiting for the model to show up so we can get on with the fun part someone needs to post a pic of something cool they have in their hanger

OK. I'll try. KMP FW190A, 72" w's, all composite, Sierra Retracts, OS120ax. The spinner's now 1/2 yellow and 1/2 black. Tried to do the spiralschanause (sp?) a couple of times but couldn't get it right.
If I get one of these, this is the scheme I'll do.

The specs are actually 70.5", not 72. Its not made as an all composite anymore, only the fuse and cowl. Its also not KMP. Its an ESM. KMP was the major distributor for ESM many years ago, rebranded them as KMP, but no longer even has this particular plane.

I do like the paint scheme on it in the pic. As for a spiral snause spinner, you can get one from sdshobbies in china for about $28 for the 70.5" size plane or a bit more for one for a 1/5th scale 190

Ok this is what RCU is supposed to be all about. The German spinner funness.... This is what I do and I’m not saying its right. I use pin striping tape. I set it in the sun and let it get warm then run the spiral

also here is a great video by Ty Brown on how to do this his way.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTotYOhLf0Y

Here is one of those KMP full composit fw 190s we put a 50cc in. nice flying bird

O ya heres what else i got going on while waiting for this bird

Liquid sheeting is sold by WOW aircraft. It is a coating that is brushed . Flows pretty good and dent reisitant. I have never used it, guys who fly foam aircraft will and can use thisinstead of econocote or glassing.

I did a thread on it a while back. It's easy and does a good job for what it is. It appears to be very similar if not the same as stro spray 1000. There is a how to video on my web site.

http://www.wyliewarbirds.com/howto/howto.htm

The 47 is still in use my conclusion was its no better than covering but you don't have the problems in the sun wrinkling the surface. Paints just like glass work.

The inboard gun blister on yours looks very scale.  Not too many have the look of a separate piece.  Could you give some details on it...was it part of the kit?

Hey Guys,

I just started a thread on converting the new Top Flite FW-190 to E power, link to thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11235653/tm.htm

The FW-190 is set up with a Futaba radio using S.Bus on the wing so that I only have one lead for all four servos, the New Robart Electric reatracts, they are also just one plug from the wing so I only have two connections on the wing to the fusalage.  I am then using a RimFire 65cc Motor with a Caslte Creations Ice 160HV2 and a 12s1p 5000 mAh pack.
