n8622t,

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11161542/tm.htm

might be why your getting no response. There is another even larger thread in scale I believe.

Its a Focke Warf 190

jeffk464 -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/28/2012 7:29 PM)

Wow, did that crash recently or has it been sitting at the bottom of the lake since WW2. It looks pretty darn good.

It is one of the new build replicas and it crashed a few months ago. Was only under water for a few days before being salvaged.

Can't wait![:D]

Hope the guy is ok, what a great hobby.

n8622t -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/29/2012 4:08 PM)

I believe it's going to be another top rated Arf ....I have the TF 47, 40, and Corsair giant scales and they all look great and fly very well. This 190 will be a great addition

Ironically they were filming a tail chase scene with a Spitfire when the Wulf suffered a failure of the constant speed prop and had to ditch in the Channel. The pilot got out ok but I reckon the Spit pilot would have to be claiming a victory!

n8622t -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 2:04 PM)

Ya Glazier there are two other threads on this bird so its going to be a real popular model...I have the arf on order as well as the Robart electric retracts. This is going to be a huge group build no matter which thread you follow...gonna be a lot of fun.

Jimmy

n8622t -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 2:06 PM)

Great info Boltman...at least the aircraft wasn't totally destroyed and hopefully restored to flying condition.

Jimmy

glazier808 -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 2:11 PM)

agreed! If I didnt have a lein/holman 190A8, I would probably have to have one as well. Have you picked a scheme?

Casey

n8622t -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 2:53 PM)

I have a couple in mind...Ill post them when I get them loaded

Jimmy

n8622t -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 7:11 PM)

my pick will be one of these two

n8622t -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 7:30 PM)

another

glazier808 -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 7:32 PM)

I like that last one best myself...

Casey

Ramstein44 -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 7:54 PM)

+1

kahloq -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/30/2012 10:45 PM)

It'll be nice when the plane is actually released.

Jeremy_D -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/31/2012 12:02 AM)

I have the same order placed as well [:D]

Haven't decided whether to strip it down and glass it or just add some extra paint to the film and then clear coat it, any thoughts?? In the past have used tamiya and then a lusterkote Matt clear.

Hey Guy's

I wonder if they are going to offer the plane in an ARC version like they did the Jug? It certainly would save allot of us quite a bit of time stripping the covering off the ARF. Here is my choice for the new scheme.

David

Ramstein44 -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/31/2012 12:35 AM)

You're paying for that covering so why not put it to use. I'm sure, like many other giant arfs from Topflite, this too will later be available as a RTC. I'll paint this one and later buy the arc and make it more unique..[;)]

Jeremy_D -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/31/2012 12:40 AM)

What paint would you recommend to use on the covering?

Ramstein44 -> RE: TF FW190 GIANT ARF (7/31/2012 12:45 AM)

Here is my ESM Dora. I used Lowes, Valspar latex indoor/outdoor flat paint specially mixed to match and fuel proofed it with lustracote clear flat. Another option if you have the cash is; Warbird colors paints.
