Hello all, so I have a chance to get a nice Century predator carbon 90 with a YS 91 engine, its a really nice setup all digital servos, its RTF allso comes with tons of spare parts. The guy wants 400.00 for it. I dont mind paying that for it but parts look to be scarce at best. I just dont want to invest that much money into it if I cant get parts as needed. Thank you.

I have the same heli and LUV it. I had a small mishap with it about two months ago and had no problem getting all the parts I needed. Though it has been discontinued for awhile now, the gasser version was continued to this year. As most crash or wear parts are common to both, i found them easily at Heli-World.

Fair, Heck that sounds like a steal. Just the Motor and the radio gear used would probably be worth a lot more then $400.00 if he wanted to sell everything separately.

Im getting the heli, spare parts for it plus 2 cases of un opened wild cat 30% heli fuel for 400.00. This guy was a heli freak like no other, but life dealed him a bad hand and he just up and walked away from the hobby. Ive tried to get him back in and teach me a few things but its done me no good so I might as well take advantage of the deal he's offering.

Ok so here it is, ive had it looked at by an exspert and according to him its in A+ shape, was told that its easly worth double what I paid for it and I hope you guys would agree. Its a nice heli, its actully scary as hell to me and Im not sure if I should learn to fly it or sell to some one who could handle it. It has a YS 91 ST engine, 3-futaba S9252 servos, 1hitec 525BB high speed throttle servo and a 601 gyro with a futaba S9251 servo. Batter setup is a lipo setup with a heat disapater ( not sure what its actully called) Its all carbon fiber except a few fuse peices and I have all of those in carbon fiber as extras. I was told no need in replaceing them untill a major crash or for cracks. Guys im reall excited about this but scared as hell too. Im afraid I would just tear it up!

NONE! Only about 20 mins worth of hover time on my Trex 450. Ive not even fired this thing up yet and im allready shaking! Im in need of some serious help here. I only bought it couse I know it was such a sweet deal and its only a once in a life time opertunity. ive really thought about selling it to try and turn a small profit but my buddy says no just keep it and learn to fly it, im torn on what to do with it.

I would get a 550/30 sized heli - electric or nitro (like the Century Hawk Sport) with an OS32SXH or 37, move the servos and gyro to it, learn how to fly properly, then later when you become comfortable with your ability to properly set-up helis and you flying ability, then move the gear back to the Predator and enjoy the great heli it is.

Why trade? If you have a Rappy 50 use it. It is also a nice nitro heli and is a lot stronger and better at taking "beginner" abuse then is the T600N.

Sounds to me like your hobby is more about trading for helis then learning to set-up and fly them.

LOL yea kinda at this point! Im a big time trader, swaping buying selling you name it im game. I do want to learn to fly really bad, but im not about to go out and hurt myself or anybody else just to learn, nor tear my stuff up either. This is really my off season as its just so damm hot around these parts, its been averaging about 105F-110F every day lately so thats when I do alot of willing and dealing on stuff ive aquired. Yes ive aquired a few helis, but got smoking sweet deals on all of them one way or another. I want to find some one local thats willing to work with me and willing to teach me the do's and dont's of the hobby but finding some one who wants to get out in this heat is slim to none im sure so ill keep watching the youtube videos and online forums and learn what I can while I wait for it to cool off a bit, might even make another trade or two while I wait.

I would definitely get some flight time on the Raptor instead of jumping to the 90. Your crashes will be cheaper and there are Raptor parts all over the place. The 50 was my first heli and it was a great one to learn on.

Just remember, when you're crashing the 90 you'll write off over $100 per crash (typically) because that's what the blades are worth, and then you need the rest of the parts.

Nice bird. I always say get as big as you can afford. If you can hover a 450, you can hover a 90. Just turn the throttle curve to around 50% and hit the dual rates(Air/Ele) on like 65% and you love it. It is so stable. I have Predator gasser which isn't much bigger and it practically hovers itself. I'll never sell it. I also have that gyro/servo on my Hawk Sport and it holds better than any gyro I have owned. Granted I only flew Mech gyros before I got it. Just hover it once and you'll see. The 90s are thirsty though. If you find a good condition OS .61 SX-WC, you could put that in there and get alot more flight time per tank.

Thanks guys, I defnetly want to fly the raptor first as parts are more readaly avelable. The trick now is to find some one who is willing to look my birds over and teach me a few things, thats been the tuffest challange yet.
