I just got a new mid star 40 kit today and I am planning on using a ASP 61 four stroke in it will I need longer main gear because I will be using a 12-6 prop and making it a tail dragger.
Thanks Greg

I'm putting a MidStar together. I have the fuselage and one wing built. It is the easiest kit I've ever assembled. The quality of the wood and the laser cutting are excellent. It's going to have an Enya 53 four stroke. I'm also building it as a taildragger. I'm still debating whether to use one or two servos for the ailerons.

They were never as popular as the 4 star, but everyone that I ever talked to that had owned both said the midstar is a better flyer.

My buddy had one. It was a great flying airplane! They really lend themselves to Formula I color schemes too! *hint*

I have a Mid Star that was given to me, needs to be recovered and have a radio and engine installed. I was wondering where the CG is located as I don't have the plans for it?

The manual says "main spar".  Hope this helps!

I looked at the manual on line, didn't see where it indicated the CG for the plane, maybe I missed it. Normally the plans will show a CG range.
